About this property
Amazing find, for large Groups!
You feel the excitement as you pull into the driveway. One by one, the cars pull up - each arriving from a different place. It’s been a while since we all came together like this. It’s palpable. You can just taste Maggi’s cooking already. Yum! Her restaurant is nice and all but you still think she does her best cooking right here, when the group travels together to Indy.
“Wow, this place is huge,” Lisa exclaims as she steps out of their car, smiling at the space. "The driveway actually fits four cars if we park closely." Yea. With the street parking, that's 6+ cars. Joe reverses and tries to park better.
"Yeah, yeah," Brian chimes in as he pushes the door lock of his Lexus. You all know him too well, he’s always trying to pull a fast one and call dibs on the biggest room. “Dibs!” he yells.
Laughter erupts as everyone circles up towards the house.
“Nice try,” Maya smirks, hands on her hips. “We’ll settle this like we always do.”
Hugs and kisses everywhere. It’s been really long since you last saw Maya. Only Sam has been able to come the last couple of years. Glad she could make it this time. She walks up to the door, code in hand, still trying to play Big Sister –– even though we’re all grown now with kids and all. She’s the oldest and your big sister by five years. Joe’s two years younger than her but he’s usually so reserved people think you’re older.
As you step into the large, spacious living room, you can see the familiar dynamics unfold—the jokes, the playful banter, and the cute little rivalries and teasing you all grew up with. It never stops, you smile to yourself.
Meanwhile, Maggi is already at the kitchen, where the smell of dinner will fill the air. She’s quick to turn the space into the group’s culinary hub. The open kitchen, with its wide countertops and sleek appliances, flows effortlessly into the living room, making it easy for everyone to pitch in, chat, and share moments. It feels like the heart of the home, the place where everything will happen—meals, conversations, and the inevitable debates over the last piece of garlic bread. Yes, the dining’s next door with the huge dining table that could sit the whole group, but food just tastes so much better hanging in the kitchen nook with everyone.
The oversized sectional in front of the QLED TV sits patiently waiting for everyone to gather for the pre-game and deep seated arguments on stats, past games and memories of where we were and what we were doing when our team last won.
"Alright, alright," Maya says with a wink, “Rock, paper, scissors—just like always.”
You can’t help but grin, knowing exactly what’s coming. The laughter and teasing fill the room as everyone competes to claim their spot in the house.
“Finally!” Brian screams in victory. “I won! I never win the largest room.”
He strides confidently toward the largest room. It’s up the stairs, past the co-working space and left into the really large majestic room. It’s so big, you could fit a living room inside and still keep the Jack and Jill closet and en-suite bathroom exactly as they are. It’s a perfect retreat after a day of friendly chaos in town. You think, it would be nice if you got the large room. After all, you did do all the work to find this space and at such a great price too—but hey, he won.
It’s the tradition!
“WHO TOOK MY HAIRSPRAY?” Tasha calls out jarring you back from your musings. Tasha always misplaces something which drives Rick crazy. The two are exact opposites but they somehow make it work. It’s funny she would ask us because we all just arrived, barely settled. She rummages through her things and searches the house, the car as if it were a treasure hunt.
Joe’s unbothered by all the chatter. He is in his usual calm, unaffected manner and just lounges in the wingback chair upstairs looking out the window. “You guys always get so worked up. I’m just here, soaking it all in from a distance,” he chuckles, almost too relaxed, scrolling through his phone unaffected by all the drama unfolding around.
You watch everyone scatter first to their rooms, then shower then to their favorite spots. Maggi can’t get enough of the aesthetic of the kitchen. It’s what she’s planning for her new place later this year. She calls you and Lisa to give her a hand unloading some of the groceries she picked up on her way here into the pantry. Rick and Sam, of course, head straight for the game room, the designated spot for intense gaming sessions and debates over charades rules. As for Brian, he stays blissfully in his room, gulping a cold bottle of beer and FaceTiming Sarah, to show off their room –– she won’t be here until tomorrow.
And when the evening falls, the backyard is the perfect escape. Whether it’s grilling a meal together or just hanging out, the outdoor space invites everyone to unwind and relive the many memories of childhood, past travels, growing up, these reunions, the games, the big race. It’s the kind of evening where stories are swapped, jokes are shared, and everyone feels like they’ve found their place in the world again.
As you pause for a moment, looking around at everyone, it hits you. You’re so glad you made the reservation for the whole group. You’re all here now, together. And that’s exactly what this space is made for.
Outside, Indianapolis awaits with all its sights, sounds, and flavors. When we’re back here for Indy500, GenCon, family events, reunions and those special occasions that bring everyone back, it’s always a good time to be here together. And this location, you’ve got everything within quick reach. Also, the listing’s curated Guidebook is a nice touch letting you know what new restaurants to try next. Indeed, this is it. The perfect home base for when we’re back in town, together. And maybe, just maybe, next year, you’ll get the biggest room.
