Our home will become a part of your families precious memories. You will want to return year after year. One visit and you will be hooked for life!!! Come and visit our Scandinavian hand scribed log home on 12.5 acres at a pristine lake surrounded by beautiful woods. The property has a gated road for its secluded splendid home location. Four bedrooms, two baths, outdoor barbecue, deck, lake front, fire pit, pickleball court, and so much of the beautiful New York woods to enjoy. Ride mountain bikes, go hiking, just swim in the beach front lake and enjoy water sports. In the winter enjoy skiing, tubing, sledding, at a ski resort near us.

Great weekend in a beautiful cabin and setting

This was a fantastic cabin to rent with everything you need and more. We had so much fun with the lake boats and sitting by a campfire in the evening. There was even wood provided for the campfire so we didn't have to bring our own! The location is quiet, beautiful, and just perfect. I wish we could be up there every weekend. We will definitely plan to come back and maybe even try a winter getaway.

Family vacation

Our extended family had a wonderful stay here. There were plenty of bedrooms to accommodate all of us. The lake provided great fishing and swimming, there was an easy beach entry for the young kids. The children caught sunnies and bass, a couple of frogs and a turtle. The wrap around deck gave us outside dining even during the evening thunderstorms. We enjoyed the canoe and the paddleboat. A beautiful home in a beautiful, quiet location.

Beautiful Lake House

This was my families second visit to this property. Each time we visited, it has exceeded our expectations. The property is meticulously managed and the host is extremely gracious and responsive. The lake is impeccable and we enjoyed kayaking and lounging in the inflatable tubes. On days that the weather was not ideal to be in the water we enjoyed hiking the property and playing ping pong. My two children, ages 11 and 4 loved going to Paws and Claws Zoo which is about an hour away. At night we star gazed and used the fire pit. I highly recommend this 5 star property.

Best week of relaxation ever!

We stayed in this beautiful log for a week. We were amazed how beautiful and well kept this house was. The pictures don't give this property justice. The house was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities one could want. The owner Darek was very helpful with making our stay a pleasant one. He patiently answered all our questions. The area is very calm and secluded. View from deck is breathtaking. Thank you for sharing your house with us. I highly recommend this place. We would love to come back soon!!!

Secluded Lakefront Paradise

A real gem! This house has it all and exceeded all our expectations: amazing view, great swimming/ canoeing/ kayaking, charming open interior, expansive deck, firepit, even a ping pong table and volleyball court! Situated about 1/3 of a mile away from the cluster of other homes, you will feel quite at peace here. You won't see or hear any neighbor because there aren't any! All you hear is the sound of birds, frogs, and trees blowing in the wind. The open living /dining room make it a great place to cook and enjoy a meal with friends. Great gas grill and patio furniture too! The owner, Darek, was very responsive and helped us find an Eagle watching station in the next town. We will definitely be back soon!

A great cabin!

My friends and I arrived for the long weekend to find a beautiful, well appointed and immaculately clean cabin overlooking a pristine waterfront. The cabin is located deep enough into the woods to give a feeling of complete privacy, yet close enough to town for us to make quick trips to pick up whatever provisions we needed on a whim. The rooms were large and comfortable. The decor made me feel like a proper woodsman, ready to take on whatever nature threw at me that weekend. Luckily the only thing we had to deal with from nature was a little rain. The property is large and has plenty of trails to hike on, as well as a volley ball court which we took full advantage of. Overall the amenities were quite good, and we found everything we needed. The owner was friendly, extremely helpful, and easy to deal with. Overall we were found nothing to be unhappy over and had a marvelous time on our stay!

So relaxing and beautiful!

There's a reason for all the glowing reviews, our long weekend (not long enough) at the house was just what my husband and I needed. I didn't see anyone else mention - the house faces east over the lake! Important to note for those like myself who love a good sunrise, which I did get up to enjoy every morning. So peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the kayaks and fishing during the day, while having some drinks and playing games at night. The trip was just the two of us but I absolutely would love to return with a small group. We are TERRIBLE fisher people and still managed to catch fish, so I think that speaks volumes for fishing abilities at the lake. We brought our own tackle / poles but did notice there was supplies available there too. The house is setup very thoughtfully with everything you would need. Checkin is easy peasy, definitely slightly confusing when we first were approaching the 'driveway' to the house, you have that moment of - am I going the right way?! YES! You are remote, I LOVE how set apart from everyone else you are. It was quiet and lovely.

Vacation July 27 to Aug 5 2013

We have rented many properties and this compares well with others. We had a great time. We partied, played badmitton, ping pong and went kayaking. I caught some good sized bass & pickerel. The house is beautiful and was well kept and clean. There were a few minor inconviences: No hair dryer (had to run out & buy one)-ad states included After bringing home leftovers from the restaurant we discovered there were NO microwave safe plates Other than that the following would have been helpful: Different sized cutting boards, telephone book, new batteries for remotes & clocks, night light bulbs, sprayer in shower, larger coffee mugs, floating island for kitchen, directions for dvd/vcr/tv's, and we did not know if we were allowed to use the tiki hut? I also attempted to fill the outside tiki lamps with the large bottles of fuel provided but the lamps were rotted and ended up spilling flammable fluid on the deck. For safety maybe get rid of the fuel/lamps. The fire pit was ENORMOUS. There was not nearly enough firewood for the size of the pit. Maybe make it smaller, giant fires can be a hazard. As stated, this is a beautiful home on a great lot and we would rent again. Darek was easy to deal with.

Beautiful home

Beautiful home. Some challenges: 1. We booked for 6 people for 7nights. Nearly $1k per night. 2. Only 3 of us could make the trip. On night 7 we had local friends visit for 12 hours, making our party 7 total for 12 hours. We were charged an additional $385 for violating the guest policy. 3. The host also exercised their insurance policy to replace the corn hole game as it was left outside during our stay but put away ahead of departure in good condition. 4. The host advised us that the A/C was pre-set and recommended not adjusting the thermostats! 5. The wifi was not broadband worthy nor stable. 6. The satellite tv went off frequently. This may be due to the rain—which is when you want TV. 7. There were many rooms in the home that were locked and inaccessible. Including what looked to be the upstairs master bath, a bedroom in the basement, and cabinetry marked as private. 8. The host advised that no motor boats were allowed on the private lake. We awoke to several power boats pulling kids on tubes. The host also has multiple jet skis under wraps on the property. 9. The host asked repeatedly for us to take the garbage to the recycling facility 20 minutes away before departure. We tried; they were closed. 10. The master bedroom had a leak in the skylight. For several nights the skylight dripped water directly on the head of the bed. 11. There are cameras everywhere outside. The general vibe was that we were being observed regularly. Beautiful home.

Perfect Secluded Getaway

The house was beautiful, clean, and exactly like the pictures! We loved taking hikes on the property everyday, sitting by the like, and watching cozy movies. I would recommend coming prepared with groceries and hunkering down for a secluded, cozy, and incredibly scenic vacation. Highly recommend!

Fantastic get away!

Beautiful and very clean home situated on a very private and peaceful lakefront site. It is exactly as the pictures show. We were lucking enough to have a view of a full moon rising over the hills directly in front of the house. The moon shimmering on the lake was awesome. The picturesque property and views of the lake were wonderful. Fishing was plentiful even in front of the property. Dariusz was great to work with and he quickly would get back to you whenever he was contacted. Check in was contactless and a breeze. Although this trip was just the 2 of us, we look forward to coming back with our grandson to see all the wildlife and to fish to his heart's content! Larry F.

Serene getaway

Stayed here for four nights and had a wonderful time. The house is as listed and also was incredibly clean upon arrival. Being directly on the lake was so peaceful and the windows and light in the house are spectacular as well. Would definitely return here again.

Just the best

My friends and i have now stayed at this incredible property 3 years in a row. The lake views are breathtaking and the property is always impeccably clean when we arrive. Outside of just the property itself, there are so many places nearby that make these trips truly unique. Wings from BVH, Pizza from Corner Piazza, Beer from Shrewed Fox and Good Times @ Sand Beach Bar really make our stays even more worth while. Couldn't recommend this place more!

Covid hideaway

The house is very private. We were happy not to use masks for a week. The log-cabin has a full kitchen so we stayed in every night. Kayaking on the lake before sunset is breathtaking. The owner was helpful, very responsive. I will recommend this vacation home to my friends and I cannot wait to see the spot in winter time.

Stunning house and location

The Wajda home is a perfectly located architectural masterpiece! It’s a true log cabin with impressive lumber construction. The decor evokes nature — very comforting and cozy. We loved all the local hiking, canoeing, and just gazing at the East-facing lake all day... a much-needed retreat from urban life. Highly recommend!

A real escape

The property is at the end of the lake and very secluded and peaceful. The fishing is great right in front of the house. No Cell phone reception but you can connect through the WiFi and it worked out well. Dariusz was fantastic! Highly recommended for a getaway

Easter weekend

Had a lovely weekend away with a group of 5 friends, was great for couples and singles. The weather was a bit gloomy most of the weekend but we were very happy cooking and sitting by the fire both indoor and out. The lake was stunning once the sun appeared. A great private location not too far from shops and other friends in the area. Derek was great with txt communication when I couldn’t figure out the alarm system and accommodating with late check out so we could enjoy the sun.
