We had a truly wonderful stay at Jeff and Rochelle’s chalet in Basye. The property is immaculate, tastefully furnished, and equipped with everything one might need for a comfortable and relaxing stay — we only had to bring our groceries. The kitchen features modern appliances, quality cookware, several spices for cooking, and every room feels welcoming, cozy and thoughtfully maintained. The WiFi internet quality was excellent.Jeff and Rochelle are exceptional hosts: attentive, responsive, and genuinely receptive to feedback. Communication was seamless throughout our stay, and their care for guests is evident in every detail.For future visitors, the chalet offers an ideal setting for a peaceful retreat, with nearby options for nice walks, hiking, skiing (Bryce resort), and golf depending on the season. There is also a small community store within a short drive (options and opening hours are listed on a very helpful manual on site) though bringing your favorite ingredients or beverages is recommended.We would be delighted to return and warmly recommend this property to anyone seeking a relaxing and well-appointed mountain escape.

I (Jeff) grew up in Colorado Springs, CO, where my days were filled with rock climbing, skiing, and even paragliding. After a long career as a computer programmer in the health insurance industry, I’m now semi-retired and able to focus on the things I love most: family, travel, and creating memorable experiences for others.

Rochelle and I met in Pueblo, CO, and from the start we’ve shared a love for adventure. Together, we’ve traveled the world, stayed in countless Airbnbs, and even tied the knot in Antarctica. Along the way, we’ve explored all 7 continents, sampled unforgettable food and wine, and discovered that the best part of traveling is connecting with people and cultures.

We’re also proud parents of three adult kids and grandparents to one sweet grandson—family means the world to us.

When it comes to our vacation rentals, our goal is simple: to give you the same kind of welcoming, authentic experience we look for when we travel.
