The view hits you before you even get out of the car. Mountain Sol sits on a hilltop outside Bryson City where the Smoky Mountain ridgelines stretch out in every direction, and the first thing most guests do is just stand on the deck and take it in. Sunrise on one side, sunset on the other, and the valley lights filling in at night. This is the kind of property where the outdoors does most of the heavy lifting, and it does it well.
The house itself is spacious and comfortable, built to handle a group. The main level has a large living room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a stone fireplace, sliding glass doors that open onto the deck, and seating arranged so everyone faces the mountains. The kitchen has a big island, plenty of counter space, and everything you need to cook for a crowd. A well-stocked coffee station with a Keurig, Nespresso, K-cup pods, Torani syrups, and creamers means nobody has to leave the house for their morning fix. Two dining areas seat up to sixteen, one inside and one on the deck where every meal comes with a mountain backdrop.
Five bedrooms are spread across the upper floor, all with mountain views. Three have king beds, two have queens, and the warm wood-paneled walls give the rooms a classic mountain lodge feel. The master has floor-to-ceiling windows and a soaking tub where you can watch the ridgelines while you soak. The whole property is wheelchair accessible with a garage and paved entry, which is uncommon at this elevation.
The lower level is where the fun lives. A home theater with leather recliners, a massive TV, movie posters on the walls, and a popcorn machine (bring your own kernels) makes for a real movie night. The game room next door has a pool table, ping pong, a retro arcade table, and a Nintendo Switch. Two sleeper sofas and a twin bed down here handle overflow guests who want to stay close to the action.
Outside, the oversized hot tub faces the mountain panorama. A fire pit with seating sits below, and the decks wrap around the house so you can chase the light as it moves. WiFi runs at 206 Mbps, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is ten minutes away, and the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad is eight minutes down the road.
Five bedrooms. Four bathrooms. Twelve guests. A movie theater for rainy days and a view that never gets old.

The views were amazing with spectacular sunrises and sunsets. It was a great place for our family. Plenty of room for everyone. The kids loved the hot tub and having room to play outside was a big plus.
Everything was nice and just what you would think from seeing the photos. The property manager kept in touch and made sure everything ran smooth and everything was very easy. Location was great and I would stay there again.
The house was in disrepair and not well stocked in many areas of the kitchen. Host interaction was prompt and generally helpful. For a house of this magnitude AND PRICE we were not impressed with our stay. We liked the closeness to Bryson City downtown.
It was pouring down rain for our whole stay, however, this house couldn’t have been better for that! It’s gorgeous layout was fun to figure out and explore. We were fascinated by its architecture. With so much space and activities, we were comfortable staying inside and enjoying the infinite views. The only thing though was that because of all the rain it was hard to enjoy the outside areas since nothing is covered. We were still able to enjoy the jacuzzi by using the big umbrella they have outside. All in all, wonderful home, would live there if I could!
Mountain Sol is simply unforgettable! We stayed here for a special family reunion with multiple generations—cousins, siblings, grandparents—and it was the perfect place to reconnect and make lasting memories. From the moment we reached the mountaintop, we were stunned by the sweeping 360-degree views. Morning coffee as the sun rose, evening wine with the sunset, and nights by the fire and in the huge hot tub under a sky full of stars—it felt like something out of a dream. The home itself is spacious, welcoming, and clearly designed with large groups in mind. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, yet the cozy common spaces brought us together for shared meals, card games, and lots of laughter. The kitchen was fully stocked (we LOVED the coffee bar!), and the outdoor areas—multiple porches, a big deck, and the fire pit with those views—were just magical. We also loved exploring Bryson City, with its great food, friendly shops, and quick access to trails and river adventures. Mountain Sol is more than a house—it’s a destination. We can’t wait to return!
We are a multigenerational family of adults ranging in age from 21 to 76, gathering from a few different states to celebrate a milestone birthday. Mountain Sol truly offered something for everyone in our group! We loved the space for everyone to spread out, but also to gather together. The enormous dining table hosted large dinners as well as game and puzzle time. The theater, ping pong and pool tables provided entertainment in the evenings. The views are beautiful from every room in the house, seemingly better every time you look out a window! Stargazing by the fire in the fire pit was also a highlight of our trip. Bryson City is a fun little town that everyone enjoyed. Friendly people in every shop. We also spent an afternoon at the National park visiting the waterfalls, as well as a day in Asheville. Plenty to do in the area if you’re inclined to leave the property!Alex was easy to communicate with and available if we needed anything. He notified us the day of our arrival when the house was ready early, allowing us to go directly to the house rather than find something to occupy us until the formal check in time. And the house was spotless when we arrived! Our group of 10 is all in agreement that we would not only recommend Mountain Sol to friends, but would be thrilled to have an occasion to return!
