This is a very spacious house. Perfect for a family reunion or a big group of people that want to be together and enjoy cooking, bbq'ing and hanging out after a long hike or an incredible downhill mountain bike ride. This is also a great place to hold a retreat. VIEW photos to see what we can accommodate versus what we are regulated to list as our occupancy.

Everything about the visit was great. It was easy to coordinate, the deck was a great place to relax and the house accommodated our large group well. This is a great place to stay!

Great stay

Had a great time at this Vrbo, the space was large and welcoming. We were riding bikes while in town and the garage was super helpful for storage. The deck was an amazing hang out spot!

Great View and great space!

House has amazing deck, wonderful kitchen and plenty of sleeping areas. Very comfortable and inviting. Just a short walk to town and to the river. Had a great stay!

Guys mountain bike trip

We had about seven guys stay here for a four day weekend. The house was nice and clean and everything worked great. The views are great and it was a quick walk into town when we needed to go down for anything or go to the river. We’ll definitely try to stay here again next time we are back!

Great stay for our mtb crew

Fabulous house for mountain biking weekend

This house was everything we could have hoped for! We were a group of women visiting for a couple days of mountain biking and really appreciated the size and layout of this home. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen is really well stocked and the huge deck with views is so great for morning coffee. The location is ideal - close to everything in town (we didn't get in our cars once) Thank you so much to Chandra, our host! Super accommodating and arrival instructions provided us with everything we needed. Can't say enough good things! We'll be back for sure.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Not only was this house beautiful and peaceful with some of the most beautiful views of Downieville, but the host was amazing. Very accommodating, constant communication with lighting quick responses and went above and beyond to make our stay the best possible. Hopefully the weather allows us to return so we can finish our job in town and stay in this rental again!!

Family Friendly with a view

This is the perfect location for families, especially those with young kids. The patio wraps around the house and is entirely closed. The host even has toys for young kids available plus baby gates. After playing on the river all day this was the perfect nightly retreat. The drive way was steep but most driveways in Downieville are and we made it up this one just fine in our mini van.

Awesome mountain house!

Thanks to the property manager for great communication and a great stay. House and garage well stocked with the things one needs during stay. The house is quite large and accommodates large groups easily, big living room with two couches, awesome! Only thing I was wanting to add is a bluetooth stereo/speaker so guests can listen to their tunes from their phone. It was a great weekend with a great group of people that I could not have made possible without the flawless communication with Chandra. Thanks again!

Wonderful house in a beautiful location for big gatherings

My friends and I enjoyed spending the weekend hanging out the cabin and nearby in the river. This cabin is a great rental!

Cool location, large space, close to town

I enjoyed my stay at this property. Its the first time I have used VRBO and the whole process and property has been great. Comms with the owner was easy and responsive. The views from the deck were great. The house was roomy and there was enough "home goods" for cooking and storing the food. We cooked a lot in the kitchen and there was enough basic kitchen goods to allow us to serve our rather large group of people. The driveway was a bit steep for some of the folks (as in, they had challenges driving up it) but it is fine for a confident driver. The walk into town and the river was easy. The neighbors have a bit too much junk in their yard, but all-in-all, a nice location where I felt safe with my family. If I was needing a large space in Downieville again, I would stay here.

Loved this house

We had a great time at this house. It is super comfortable and can meet all expectations. We loved the deck. There is always shade somewhere outside. The views are amazing and the communication with Chandra was very helpful and easy. Can't wait to be back next year.

Great Vacation

Lovely house in a very lovely town. Right next to the store and a few different river locations. The kids aged 3-8 had a blast playing on the deck and loved the river spots.

Roomy and comfortable abode

We had a great time talking and eating meals on the wrap around porches. There are sweeping views of the surrounding forests and hills. Everyone had plenty of comfortable space With 4 bedrooms and three baths. The living area has lots of seating and has a spacious design. Downieville is just a cool town and staying in this house on the hill above the town made our trip perfect.

Labor Day Weekend

House was great, as advertised it was a great place to stay with small children. Very close and easy to get to town. Sitting on the deck in the evening was great and the deck is very new and in great condition. The driveway is a bit steep but didn’t creat an issue. The town of Downieville has limited resources so you’ll definitely want to bring anything you’ll need or want as the grocery store in town doesn’t have much and there isn’t any fuel in town. Chandra was very responsive to any questions or concerns.

Perfect location and great layout for multiple people!

We've been coming to Downieville to ride for years and this house has been the best we've had so far. Easily accommodated 9 guys + large kitchen (with dishwasher!) + huge deck + convenient ride up/down to shuttles in town. Owner was super-easy to work with and very accommodating. Definitely recommend this house.

I purchased this house because Downieville is a little piece of gold in heaven. It's such a sweet little town, and a great place to relax and turn it all off!

Why they chose this property

I loved this property because of the space it offers. It has a large living room and kitchen. Perfect for entertaining friends and family. The deck wraps around the entire house, and everyone just loves sitting on the deck and enjoying the views.

What makes this property unique

This house is well built. Stays cool in the summer, warm in the winter, and in on the SunnySide of the mountain, which means it gets full sun all year round. The house offers space to enjoy company but not be cramped in one room. This is just a short walk to town, and entertainment. This is the perfect house to have a small retreat, a family reunion or just a party with good friends. You can hang out on the deck, or in the main living room. There's enough space for everyone.
