Girls Trip

The Tamerak Treehouse was the perfect place for a girls trip. We stayed 5 nights total. The host was quick to respond, and made the whole process easy. The tree house was clean and had amenities that made us feel right at home. The view was spectacular, with a cozy living area to enjoy our coffee in the morning, and a glass of wine in the evenings. Being short steps away from the ski slope made it ideal for us, so we didn't have to carry our equipment far. We enjoyed the private hot tub daily. I can't think of anything negative about this place, and we plan to return to the Tamerak Tree house for another trip.

Summer visit to Tamarack

Gail and her team performed as advertised. The Tamarack was just the right size for four with clean and updated accommodations. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything one would need. We travelled to GNP twice and into Whitefish daily with no trouble at all. Would recommend any of the Snow Bear Chalets...we had a great time away from the southern heat.

Magical!

Truly a beautiful and whimsical experience at the Snow Bear Chalets! We stayed in the Tamarack Chalet and very much enjoyed our stay. The architecture was uniquely designed with many fine details that made it quaint and cozy. We loved the heated floors throughout and the hot tub out on the balcony overlooking the ski slopes. Also, the star-filled loft was a sight to behold! Thank you for a wonderful vacation full of personal touches and great family memories!

MEA Getaway in Whitefish

This was our second time back to Snow Bear Chalets. We had a wonderful time and I can't say enough great things about this property. It truly is like being in a Fairy Tale. We love hiking and exploring the trails of Whitefish, downtown allows for some great eating and drinking opportunities, but we love nothing more than the quietness of this property in the mountains this time of year. It's stunning. Gail is so wonderful to work with and really makes the stay so easy.

Amazing!!!!

The snow bear chalets have become one of my all time favorite places to stay. We have stayed in some of the top rated places around the world but none of the places came close to the comfort and accommodations of the snow bear chalets. The chalets are stocked with everything you may need for a long stay. Plenty of cookware, soft robes, sono sound system, hot tub, aveda toiletries, and the most comfortable heated mattresses. The chalet was designed in such an amazing way that the space feels very spacious yet warm and cozy at the same time. Plenty of room for our family. Gail and Teryn went above and beyond to make our vacation special. The snow bear chalets should be on everyone’s bucket list!!

Awesome place, but must be OK with “cozy”

This is an awesome place, but be aware that it is not big. It is ski-in-ski-out which is great. The furnishings and finishes are all first rate. But you have to be OK with the idea of cozy. Upstairs is a loft with a king size bed and bunk beds. Off the kitchen is a nook with another king-sized bed. I’d hesitate to call this a room as it’s really just big enough for the bed. There are slider doors that can separate it from the other rooms. The upstairs area has the bigger bathroom, but the downstairs room seems to make more sense for the parents to sleep in if you are traveling with kids. Overall, a great place to stay, but you have to expect that it’s a unique space.

The vacation home was fantastic! I hated to leave.

I could not have had a better experience. The lodge is everything as advertised. They had every needed spice, in the well stocked kitchen, for all of our cooking needs. The home was clean and very comfortable. Every bed was comfortable, and the six of us had room to roam, while all keeping our privacy. The jacuzzi is one of the best I have been in, and we used it every day after skiing. It was nice to walk a few steps to the slopes in the morning, and to ski directly to your front door when we were finished in the afternoon. The entryway, with individual cubbies, enabled us to keep our skiing gear within reach, and separate. The six plush robes that were provided, were put to good use. Gail and her partner could have not been nicer and accommodating. The West Village is just a few steps away, which is very convenient. Overall, this cottage was absolutely perfect for our group. We all enjoyed it very much!

The Tamarack Tree house for grown ups

First class experience all the way! You can't help but spend the first couple hours just admiring the craftsmanship and design of the Chalet both inside and out. From the starry lighted turret to the incredible elevated outside deck with views of the mountains and ski slopes literally feet away. Found everything to be neat and well kept. The owner Gail Goodwin was more than accommodating and made you feel welcomed as she shared the story of how the Chalets were built. Loved the memory foam bed and the shower was just right. A ten minute walk right to the chairlift that took me all the way to the top of the mountain where I enjoyed a great lunch and had a great view of Glacier National park. Highly recommend dining at the Cafe Kandahar just another short walk down the road. The food was absolutely incredible and truely a dining experience. Having a deck level jacuzzi to come back to that night was the perfect way to end the evening. Took lots of pictures to show friends and family back home. Would absolutely come back again and highly recommend to anyone both in the summer and winter alike!

2/10 Terrible

David B.

The property was great, but the owners were dishonest

We had a terrible time at the treehouse mostly because the service. I had a couple of kids come over to the house who were staying at another nearby rental. The lady in charge got super upset and stole approx $600 from my deposit, stating that we only reserved the property for two people. She claimed we got "crayon" on the bed sheets and scratched a chair. We didn't even have crayons with us, and there's no way the kids scratched a chair. I can't stand people who do business dishonestly so I'm rating this property a 1. Also, the tree house has no privacy. There were tree houses on each side of it, and people stared right in on us. It was creepy.

What an amazing place

This is the ultimate ski in/ ski out destination. Everything was immaculate and clean. Everything about the stay was above and beyond our high standards. The host was very responsive, and helped with all of our questions. It’s perched right off the ski run, and has an amazing view. Couldn’t ask for a better place on the mountain!
