Hi there! I lived in the Low Country HHI/Bluffton for many years and love its charm, community, and classic Southern hospitality. I started coming to the area with my family when I was 4 years old and have watched it completely transform. My parents eventually retired here, and I relocated with my children when they were quite young. They all grew up here, went to school here and my oldest and his family still live here. Although life/work took us away from South Carolina to Virginia, my heart never left. I have always come back as often as I can to visit family, enjoy the Lowcountry air, and soak in all the little things that make Bluffton such a treasure. The friendships I built while living here remain strong and seeing my children’s friends having families of their own warms my heart. My son and his wife had a baby in December 2024, and I wanted to be able to spend more time here as well as have a place that my daughter and youngest son could bring their families as well.

I became a host because I want others to experience what I’ve loved for so long; welcoming front porches, friendly faces, beautiful marsh views, and that special kind of peace you can only find in the Lowcountry. Bluffton is more than just a stop between Hilton Head and Savannah—it’s a destination all its own, full of stories, charm, mystery and heart.

It brings me so much joy to open this space to travelers like you. Whether you’re here for a quick weekend or a longer escape, I hope you’ll feel right at home and discover just how special this place is. Welcome to Bluffton—I’m so glad you’re here!

Why they chose this property

As soon as I saw this neighborhood, I knew it would be the perfect place to welcome guests. There’s something about the way it blends Old Town Bluffton charm with modern comforts that immediately made me feel at home—and I knew others would feel the same. The metal roof that the rain dances on and the lagoon view with the nightly chorus of frogs and the heron visits makes it feel serene.

What I love most is how peaceful and inviting it is, yet still so close to everything that makes a Lowcountry getaway special. You’re just minutes from the boutiques, galleries, and restaurants of Old Town Bluffton, and a short drive to Hilton Head Island’s beaches, golf courses, and water activities. Whether you're in the mood for a day on the sand, a stroll through local shops, or dinner at one of my favorite seafood spots, you're never far from fun.

This neighborhood feels like a hidden gem—quiet streets, friendly neighbors, and plenty of Southern charm. And can we talk about the screened-in porch? It's hands-down my favorite part of the house. There’s just something magical about sipping coffee out there in the morning or enjoying a glass of wine in the evening while the breeze rolls in. It’s one of those simple pleasures that makes a vacation feel like a true escape.

The area also has all the modern conveniences you’d want during your stay—grocery stores, coffee shops, and family-friendly attractions are all nearby. Whether you’re here for a romantic weekend, a family vacation, or even a work-from-home retreat, this neighborhood offers a comfortable and relaxing home base to experience the best of Bluffton and the surrounding Lowcountry.

What makes this property unique

I truly poured my heart and soul into making this townhome the picture of Southern hospitality, and I believe that’s what sets it apart. From the moment you walk in, my hope is that you’ll feel welcomed, relaxed, and right at home. I wanted it to feel like visiting family.

What makes this space special is the way it brings people together while still giving everyone room to breathe. The open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area is perfect for gathering. Whether you're cooking up a Lowcountry feast, planning your next adventure around the table, or streaming your favorite shows after a day at the beach or exploring Bluffton, it's a layout that invites connection.

But when you need a moment to yourself, there’s space for that, too. The daybed on the screened in porch calls out for an afternoon nap. The private workspace offers a quiet place to check in with the office, take a Zoom call, or plan your next adventure. And if you’ve got kids, or kids at heart, the garage game room is always a hit. With fun distractions like putting green, Jenga, and other games, it’s a great spot to make memories.

The décor was thoughtfully chosen to strike a perfect balance between luxury and comfort. Every room was designed with calming colors, cozy textures, and just a touch of Lowcountry flair.

From the inviting screened-in porch to the plush bedding and handpicked touches throughout, this home was made for making lasting memories. Whether you’re here for a quick getaway, a family vacation, or a longer stay, I’ve tried to think of everything so you can focus on relaxing, reconnecting, and enjoying the magic of Bluffton.

Please enjoy our home away from home, as much as we do and hopefully you will get a glimpse of Perceval Buckwalter, the alligator that sometimes visits our lagoon. (Yes, we named him).
