The cabin was very well setup, especially all the Christmas decorations and tree. It was very clean, the kitchen had all the utensils needed to cook and grill and a generous amount of fire wood was provided. We enjoyed our time here!
Very nice cabin on a gorgeous property. We really wanted to get away and this was a perfect spot. It's not very clear in this listing but there is another identical cabin quite close to this one. Thankfully, there wasn't anyone staying there while we were. That property is also on VRBO and you can check its availability to see if it will be empty or you can rent it as well for bigger groups. Even if it was occupied this would still be a wonderful, private cabin. There's a steep entry on a gravel road but it was no problem for anyone, even in wet conditions. Snow could cause some problems for sedans or no 4WD.The porch was lovely with rocking chairs and a picnic table, there was plenty of firewood for the fire pit, and the hot tub was great.

Hey Collin,
Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We're thrilled that Cubs Den provided the peaceful retreat you were looking for. We appreciate you noting the sister cabin nearby and the accessibility details about our gravel road, which will definitely help future guests prepare appropriately. You're absolutely right that we should clarify the dual-cabin setup more clearly in our listing, and we'll work on that. We're so glad you enjoyed the porch, fire pit, and hot tub, and we'd love to welcome you back for another relaxing getaway whenever you're ready to escape again!
Lucky enough to be there for the first snow of the season that lasted about 24 hours, absolutely beautiful. Cabin was perfect as were all the amenities - hot tub, gas stove, fireplace and breathtaking views. Sad to see some of the damage from Hurricane Helene, but after meeting so many amazing locals we know they will eventually recover. Booking was easy and host very responsive when we had an questions. We'll be back.

Hey Elana,
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay at Cubs Den and the beautiful snow. We're glad you appreciated the amenities and views. We hope you'll return soon to see the area fully restored. Thank you for choosing us!
Cubs Den Cabin is probably the best VRBO place we have stayed in (and we have stayed in a lot). The house was spotless upon arrival, was decorated for fall and was comfortable and homey. Highlights include the gas fire place, hot tub, fire pit, bear claw bath tub and the fantastic view from the porch. The kitchen is a chef's dream. Everything you needed was there and was high quality. The owners brought wood and we had a chance to talk with them briefly. They are very friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend Cubs Den!

Hey Dorothy,
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that Cubs Den met your expectations and provided a memorable stay. We're glad you enjoyed the fall decor, fireplace, and view. We appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back soon.
We could not have chosen a more perfect spot for our anniversary trip. The cabin was perfection! It was so cozy, but spacious with every amenity you could possibly need. The kitchen was stocked with all needed utensils and small appliances (even a popcorn popper!) and everything was brand new and organized. There were classic board games and movies and a cozy fireplace area to relax. The covered porch was gorgeous for our morning coffee, even in the winter. The bedrooms and beds were so comfortable with plenty of closet and dresser space to unpack and make it truly feel like home (better even). The twin master suites were brilliant so that no one has to fight over which room is best, although it was just the two of us this time. The private hot tub and fire pit were our favorite part and abundant fire wood was even provided! Maintenance even came to drain and clean the hot tub during our stay and communication was on point! I wish we could live here! The location itself is remote so every place is at least a 20-30 minute drive away or more. That’s the only thing we didn’t love. However, we made it a point to enjoy the house itself as much as possible so that was the favorite part of our trip and I love the fact that it was so private and silent. We can’t wait to go back. My standards for vacation rentals have forever been raised after our stay at cub’s den. They set the bar super high!

Cabin was very clean and maintained really well. We enjoyed our stay here and would come back again. We had bit of trouble getting up to cabin due to our minivan and wet conditions when arrived, not going to stop us from coming back here again though :)We made lots of memories and my kids had tons of fun, amenities provided were great and made our stay memorable. Cannot wait to come back here again, i recommend this cabin for anyone who want to enjoy peaceful mountain stay and not too far out from attractions nearby. 5 stars all the way!!!
