The poolside has a view of the famous Contessa’s Castle on the adjacent hilltop and is within a 3 minute drive to 3 beaches, the Island casino, the Divi Resort, and several restaurants.
Wake up each morning to the unsurpassed beauty of the island’s turquoise waters. Swim in your private pool or drive down the hill to one of 3 pristine beaches. Become a poolside chef with the giant gourmet grill or dine out, at one of several local restaurants within a 10 minute drive. Owners live on-site in a separate cottage.

Fantastic property, amazing views, everything we needed!

Fantastic property for 8 of us to celebrate several birthdays ( including my 50th!) and have fun on my favourite Caribbean island. At first thought it might be too remote/ far from town but actually out was probably even better because of that? The location is Great, the views on both sides, just stunning. Rosalee did a great shop for us so we had everything we needed for the first couple of days. Plenty of drinking water supplied, ice machine and everything you could possibly need. Walked down to Grapetree Bay ( South side beach) the first day, steep walk back but worth it. Spent a whole day at Smugglers Cove ( beach in the north side) and took the cooler, beach chairs and snorkling stuff down there. Ate in 3 or 4 times( bbq and cooked a fish curry after our fishing trip) and ate in town several times. Loved my coffee on the deck in the morning watching the sun rise! Pool was lovely , girls spent alot of time sun bathing and swimming. All had our own bedroom and bathroom so that was nice too ( we had the seperate cottage to achieve that), fans and air con for all too. Really can't fault the property, it's the Caribbean and after a major hurricane i was amazed at the condition of everything? We all had an amazing 10 days and would definately rent again. Friends getaway!

Really beautiful location! Great host! Matt was super responsive and met us at airport and waited while we went grocery shopping. He brought coffee when we ran out and provided towels, chairs, coolers, Bluetooth speaker, and snorkel gear. Loved how close a couple of the beaches were! There were also condiments at the house which was convenient. Don’t buy syrup! LoL. A couple of outlets did not work as they are upgrading and the hot water in one shower did not work for a couple days but the other showers worked. The beds and linens were all very comfy. Plenty of space to hang! We highly suggest this location! Loved Ziggys and Dugans Reef and Castaways. All very close!

Good stay

We felt the property was good for our stay. It is a little far from everything but that worked for us. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is tired but serviceable. Hosts were great.

Matt and Celeste Jarvis have a special place in their hearts for St. Croix. The couple met there, were married there and are now retired there. Celeste grew up on the St. Croix and the beauty and wonder of the island led to her becoming an environmental scientist. Both Matt and Celeste had successful careers working with NASA and NOAA, and raised a family in Davidsonville, Maryland. Currently, Matt is an artist specializing in island landscapes and Celeste supports environmental sustainability of the island ecology.

Why they chose this property

East End Overlook is special to the couple. Celeste grew up just a down the hill on Grapetree Bay, where she spent her childhood exploring the natural beauty of the preserved Jack's and Issac's Bays. Matt and Celeste met on Grapetree Beach, were married in St. Patrick's Church, and held the reception in St. George's Botanical Gardens. When looking for property on St. Croix, sea, beach and mountain views were high on the priority list as well as continuous breezes. The couple's knowledge and love of the island helped them select the perfect place that any traveler will fall in love with.
