The location was great. It is south of the busy part of Ali'i Street. If you want to go kayaking and/or snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay/Captain Cook monument (which I highly recommend) go south 10 minutes. If you want to stroll along the main part of Ali'i drive, go north 10 minutes. The owner was awesome. Super friendly. I checked in Christmas Day, He told me if I couldn't find a place to get a bite to eat, he and his wife have food. Luckily, it was not necessary - but it was a wonderful gesture. The place is quiet and has good parking. I would stay there again.

Our family grew up on the southern California Beaches and fell in love with Hawaii where the weather is warm year around and not too developed yet. We enjoy hosting guests and listening to their excitement of their experiences as they explore the Hawaiian culture and the Big Island of Hawaii!

Why they chose this property

The studio is located within walking distance between 2 beaches. You have Magic Sands beach to the north side and Kahalu'u beach (Snorkel beach) to the south. You also have a shopping center and cinema's 1 mile from the studio. Below the Keauhou shopping center is Keauhou bay where King Kamehameha 111 was born. You can also sign up for snorkeling and night Manta Ray excursions there in the bay while checking out the birth place of King Kamehameha 111 the great!

The rental is a small clean studio with the basics, on property parking and a reasonable rate.
