Overall great property. Very private. Incoming and outgoing going road is a challenge, but for the privacy worth it. And very close to all the excursions we took. 15 minutes to all in Bryson City ( zip lining, tubing, hiking train ride , ( though the train was not as advertised and cost us a full day, it was the only tourist trap we ran into) dinners in town and the casino at Cherokee is a short 20 minute ride, all highway) The inside of the cabin is awesome. We had 6 sleeping comfortably. Fully air conditioned, Hot tub was on point. Pool table was fun, Gas grill and all of the cutlery and plate ware was available. Fire pit available .Mr Winston the caretaker was extremely attentive and super nice. And left a number for us if we ran into any issues. We look forward to next years stay.
We had a wonderful time. Everything was as the host described. We took our grandchildren on the Polar Express Train. We made great memories and this cabin was perfect. We will definitely revisit the future!!
Great place! private and beautiful home.
The owner was very nice and quick to respond to issue we had. No complaints at all about our stay everyone loved it.
This property is perfect for a relaxing, quiet and homelike environment. This cabin is secluded, hot tub was enjoyable and private, fully stocked kitchen and very clean. Communication with the staff was great.

Cabin getaway! 😊
We had a very nice time on our vacation and loved 🥰 our Cabin!! It had everything we wanted and more! It was the perfect little getaway and provided plenty of space and comfort for my family of four and our dog 🐶 Timmy! There were four bathrooms and three bathrooms and we felt so luxurious even though we were nestled up in the mountains!! One of our favorite vacations by far!!
We spent Thanksgiving here with our two grown daughters. While the weather wasn't great, our stay at this cabin was. It was very clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was quiet and secluded, but was a short drive to Bryson City. Would definitely like to return.
We enjoyed our stay and the cabin was super clean and very nice. If you like secluded you'll love this cabin. 1 night we could hear a femal elk hollering just off in the edge of the woods. We would definitely go back again. Kevin

Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
Very secluded with some nice views and has a warm cozy feeling about the cabin though it is a bit older building. Could stand to have a little upgrading to it but all in all, a very pleasant experience and a great stay especially in the Autumn. The drive up off 74 is a bit daunting but my 2 wheel drive Jeep Cherokee had no issues taking it on and it was a wonderfully scenic and colorful.

Weekend Getaway
We had a blast! It was a weekend trip for my husband, his mom, my mom, my son and I. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, our only regret is the weekend didn’t last long enough. The cabin was clean, and fully stocked, it had everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a walk to the Mingo falls and a very exciting train ride. The cabin was private and easy to get to.
I enjoyed the stay just a few things that were a little off. The placement of the hot tub was a little strange. Floors creak ALOT. We were worrried we’d run out of water a one point but they fixed the issue quickly with no interruption of stay. Not much of a view but private. Beds were nice and was a simple check in check out process.
There was 5 of us ladies that needed to get away from it all. And we did just that. We came on Thursday, went out to eat at Pasqualino’s and it was delicious. Then we bought some groceries and stayed at the cabin for the rest of our time. We enjoyed the hot tub and just sitting around playing games and talking. We had a blast and the cabin was just what we needed. Only thing we thought could have been better was the porches needed to have been blown off. Lots of dust. It was a great weekend and we enjoyed the stay so much. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.
Sorry, We didn't stay.

Great place - super cozy, excellent location
We had a great stay at Zachary's Retreat. Great location, easy access to Bryson City, Cherokee, Smoky Mountains National Park, etc. Owners were incredibly responsive/helpful with the only small issue we had. Definitely heed the warnings about the drive up, particularly for inclement weather times. It's awesome going to the top of the hill but if it were snowing or hard rain or you don't have an appropriate vehicle it would be hard if not impossible to get up. Our minivan did just fine (clear weather all stay).Only thing to note is that if the pool table is a big draw for you to stay at this place, there is not actually enough space in the room for the pool table to be able to play properly without hitting walls or being in weird positions.
