Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please put all outdoor and beach equipment back
Kayaks should be stored the way that they were found
Sign out of all accounts on TVs
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Pool maintenance is done weekly by a professional company. Guests are not allowed to refuse pool services. (See Rule 3)
$100 return trip charge and other potential pool fees should the water need additional treatment (to be paid by the guests) if pool services refused.

A superior place for families, friends and dogs. Location is great and the amenities are way beyond the expected. I could have left a lot of stuff at home. It is a place to relax and chill out.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately, upon arrival we found that there were dogs at the property that we’re not a part of the reservation. The owners were actually there and let us know that a few of the bikes had been kept in poor condition and had some damages. Multiple beds were caked in dog hair and required 2 to 3 cleans. In the future, please ensure your reservation for accuracy to include all guests and or pets and refrain from allowing the animals to get onto the beds — or at the very least, do the laundry prior to your departure to remove all of the dog hair. We stayed at The Cocoanut Shack in the beginning of March of 2026 for a week. This was THE PERFECT family vacation home on Fort Myers Beach! It has the most incredible location: mid island (aka: away from the hustle & bustle), 3(ish) blocks from the grocery store, a very short walk (short enough a 3 year old happily did it) to the gorgeous beach/ocean, and about 3 houses away from a fishing pier. The house had EVERYTHING you would need: beach wagon, bikes, pool toys for the kids, towels, beach toys, etc, etc). The under house area is amazing- that is where we spent most of our time (the outdoor bathroom/shower, outdoor kitchen: marvelous!!!!). I canNOT say enough wonderful things about this house. We loved every second of being there & will 100% be back! Thank you so much to the owners for sharing their piece of Fort Myers Beach paradise!!

Lock box on door worked correctly. Code on door would have been more efficient. We were a group of 5 and the one key needed to be stored in lock box when the group scattered to more than one location. Outdoor space was excellent and both indoor and outdoor spaces were well equipped with essentials. Beach gear provided was adequate. We added a couple of beach chairs to accommodate older guests. Location was wonderful to beach access and also groceries, with Publix only a few blocks away. We enjoyed Junkanoo bar and restaurant on 2 occasions. The location mid-island allowed easy access to both ends of the island. Ongoing recovery from hurricane Ian is evident whenever you travel Estero Blvd.
