We absolutely loved our stay! It was very comfortable, especially the beds, and set on a beautiful, unique property. The host couldn’t be more welcoming or friendly. Highly recommended.

Hello Molly, we are glad you had a good stay. Thanks for choosing the farm for your visit. Did you hear Jade Carey will be the OSU commencement speaker this year? Gymnasts rule all. Best regards, Dale and Peggy
We enjoyed our stay at the Christmas tree farm and it was a great place to bring our dog. It is a short drive to the OSU campus and downtown Corvallis. We plan to return on future trips.

We are glad you enjoyed your trip. We appreciate you choosing the farm for your stay. Best regards, Dale and Peggy
We LOVE staying at Dale and Peggy’s property when we’re in town. We’re usually in the other house, but this was the first Time in the contemporary flat. Beautiful place, and even without a stove, we cooked on the grill, hot plate and electric skillet. Dale is also an exceptional pottery maker with DECADES of experience, so you must check out his shop while you’re there. I’ve bought many pieces from him over the past couple years. This place is peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing! Walk the Christmas tree farm, listen to the cool frogs in the pond, and enjoy the beautiful flat. Oh , and pet friendly!! We always have our daughters cat with us.

Thanks for the kind words Chyra. We have enjoyed your visits. I graduated OSU in 1969 with a degree in ceramic art and still, at 82, I love going down to the studio every day and making art. I am glad I could share it with you. Congratulations on your daughter's impending graduation. Thank you for choosing to stay on the farm. Dale and Peggy
This was an amazing property. Being on a Christmas tree farm adjacent to a residential neighborhood and so proximate to Corvallis was really very cool. A lovely setting and that made for a very lovely stay.

We absolutely loved our stay! The guest house was perfect: quaint, cozy, and so thoughtfully put together. The location couldn’t have been better, just minutes from the university. One of my favorite parts was waking up to the beautiful Christmas trees and enjoying my morning coffee out in the peaceful garden. Everything about our stay felt warm and welcoming — we’d definitely stay here again!

Absolutely the coolest place to stay in Corvallis! Check in was very easy and all the amenities you need to make you feel at home. Food/shopping/OSU within minutes from the farm so very convenient. We will be back next time we are in town!

Thanks Alisa, we are glad you had a good visit to the farm. We will keep our fingers crossed for the Beavers this season. Dale and Peggy
I had a great stay here in Corvallis, the flat is nice and quiet and situated in a great little tree farm, which is perfect for a relaxing walk with your dog. The place was clean, pet friendly, and had everything I needed to do some remote work for a few days. It has a nice country feel but is also 10 minutes from anything you’d want to do in Corvallis, and Bald Hill is a 2 minute drive if you want a quick hike. I’d absolutely stay again.

Hello Peter, thanks for the positive review. It has been a beautiful fall on the farm and in Corvallis. We are glad you and your pup had a good visit. Dale and Peggy
It was a lovely property. Well maintained and the flat was very comfortable and cozy. Everything worked, the beds were comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Lovely host and fully outfitted kitchen. Quiet country setting but not that far from downtown Corvallis. Attending a child’s wedding also at the venue, could not be more convenient!

We are glad you enjoyed your time on the farm. The flower heart from the wedding has remained fresh and our next guests enjoyed it too. Thanks, Dale and Peggy
The flat was cute and cozy. My husband and I stayed with our two dogs and were very comfortable. Dale and Peggy were accessible and easy to communicate with. It was so much fun to stay on a Christmas tree farm! We ended up getting our Christmas tree there and a wreath for our front door. We had plenty of time to walk around the property with our puppies while looking at all the beautiful trees during our stay.

About the host
Hosted by Dale Donovan
I was born and raised in Corvallis. After high school, I spent 4 years in the military. Upon discharge, I enrolled and graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in art. I purchased the farm from my parents and built my studio and display room here. I have been a practicing ceramic artist since 1969. My wife and I now manage the farm, pottery and rentals together.
Why they chose this property
My mother's family came to Oregon via covered wagon in 1852. They settled in the Willamette Valley. In 1936 My father Arthur, moved from the mid-west, married my mother Lucille and they settled in Corvallis, purchasing the farm in 1953. I bought the property from my parents when I graduated from college. I planted Christmas trees and I have been selling pottery and trees here since.
What makes this property unique
Though the city has grown up around us, the tree farm remains a peaceful refuge. There is a ring of 200 year old Oregon white oaks around us. And almost every evening in the summer, a beautiful wind from the Pacific blows across the valley and through our oaks and firs.
