Nestled along the tranquil edge of the Siuslaw National Forest, a guest cottage like no other awaits your peaceful retreat. Come enjoy the natural beauty of Oregon conveniently located in Corvallis, just 20 minutes south of downtown. One bedroom sanctuary, complete with large living room, full bath, full kitchen, and ample outdoor space is surrounded by acres of private forest and trails. A 40 minute drive will take you to the top of Mary's Peak, while the stunning Pacific coast is just an hour away!

This 1,000 square foot, one-bedroom oasis, complete with living room, full bath, kitchen, large sundeck and ample outdoor space with BBQ area is surrounded by acres of private forest and trails. A short walk from your front door and out the private gated entry, you will find trails winding through the woods or just take a stroll down the road to visit with the local fauna; a resident flock of turkeys and Columbian White Tailed Deer are often seen as well as numerous species of birds.

If you’d like to stay connected to the outside world, there is high speed Wi-Fi, a 55” flatscreen TV with cable TV that includes 190+ channels with an all inclusive sports package plus NFL RedZone (regional sports included!) Streaming is available on the Roku that has Netflix, Paramount+, Hulu, HBO Max, Disney+, and loads of other fun content. Or sit down to watch your favorite movie on the DVD player.

The kitchen has a full size fridge/freezer, 4-burner range oven for cooking, and coffee station (coffee, creamer, sugar, and Stevia provided). There is a full set of cooking utensils, frying pan, saucepan and soup pot, as well as a small Crockpot for cooking.

There is a propane grill (propane is provided) on the deck to grill up some delicious meats and veggies! *If you have an EV and need to charge your vehicle during your stay, a $10/day fee applies which can be paid prior to your arrival.

The cottage is beautiful! Bathroom sink is clogged but we made it work. Previous guests had made the couch pillows smelly but I am sure that will be fixed too. We have enjoyed staying at this cottage and the owners are very accommodating and responsive to questions. Wish we had more time there to enjoy the relaxing options!

Lovely place with great and accessible hiking trails!

We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property. Our dog really loved it too! What would make it optimum is for the owner to add some counter space in the kitchen, provide for laundry and provide written instructions for use of the TV/satellite.

Quiet & Private

This little house is cute and perfect for a couple who wants quiet and solitude. It has a great private deck with a beautiful view of the forest. It's not fancy, but has all the basics including a comfy bed.We stayed here for two nights to be close to Finley National Wildlife Refuge. It has easy access to the Western side of the park. And while you can cook at the cabin, you're only about 20 minutes to Corvallis which has a lot of great restaurant options.

Stayed at the cottage for 3 nights. Christie was very responsive. Full kitchen, well stocked. Big living room area. Bedroom mattress was great. Grounds are nice. Stayed for parents weekend at Oregon State. Nice to be away from the crowded downtown.

Mom’s 80th birthday

I came to visit my mom for her 80th birthday. This was a perfect get away for her. Very peaceful. The cabin was equipped with all essentials needed and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Respite

We needed a dog friendly, quiet place to go to after surgery. This place was both and welcoming too. Owners were a delight to communicate with, place was set up with care for every need. Perfect place for the furbabies, looking forward to returning to explore trails after my recovery is complete.

Very cozy and secluded. Loved the visits from Ollie and Walter, very friendly dogs. Recommend bring hangers as there aren't any closets to hang clothes. Hosts were very accommodating!!

We had a wonderful weekend here, while our son attended an OSU camp. The place was spotless, beds comfortable and space is bigger than originally thought. We brought our two pups with us, and the convenience of the property and adorable visitors was wonderful. Thank you!

So beautiful!! The property is well maintained and the owners supply many amenities! Absolutely gorgeous surroundings with a forest literally right in front of you. It is densely dark at night and there is a bit of a long drive from the front driveway gate. But, the owners have clear communications available so it’s easy to know how to get in and out of this exquisite location! Definitely hope to stay again soon!!

Parents Weekend at OSU

Place is as described. Clean and comfortable to lounge around on a rainy day. Quiet and secluded for that sense of privacy. It was great for our dog to have some outdoor space and indoor space. Hosts were quick in responding and repairing a minor issue with a door which we greatly appreciated. 25 mins from the OSU campus.

Peaceful and kind space

We loved staying at the cottage and will try to repeat our trip in the near future. The cottage is overly comfortable, spacious, and super clean. It had everything we needed! The hosts went above and beyond to welcome us and the communication with them was always easy and expedite. We stayed with our dogggies and they got to hang out with the property dogs without any inconvenience. We are so grateful! Thanks again :)

Great property, DON'T LISTEN TO YOUR MAPS

It's a great place, but maps took us around the long way to the road closure- make sure you follow the directions given to you by owner BEFORE you get there. No reception and dark and you miss the landmarks. Deck was great but the furniture was wet. Very cold inside when we got in. Maybe ask for heat to be on when you come in late.

Perfect place and great hosts

I stayed 3 wonderful nights in this super clean, adorable and comfortable cabin. It is my birthday a couple days after check out and when I arrived, there were fresh baked cookies waiting. They were delicious! (Thank you so much!) The cabin is well equipped with really anything you would need. Board games, hiking near by, a fabulous grill, plenty of linens and dishes. I spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking grass and tall trees. It is an easy drive to the city if you want, but far enough out not to hear traffic. I highly recommend. I loved my stay and was only upset this morning when i had to leave. I will definitely be back to stay in this beautiful place.

Very good and…

Be prepared for dirt roads. Loved the environment and secluded space. All amenities good and master bedroom bed not that comfortable. All entrances require being able to climb stairs. Main complaint is that there are free roaming dogs on the property and that is not mentioned in the listing.. we would not have come here had we known that because our current pup has ability issues and cannot be around other dogs. That meant we would not have been able to -weather permitting - spent ANY time outside on the large deck! Had we known that, we would not have chosen this property. PLEASE just state that there are free roaming dogs on the property!

Wonderful intro to VRBO. Stay here for the best of west central OR!

This property was simply amazing! To be so close to everything we wanted to do, yet feel like we were light years away from civilization while at home was *exactly* the vacation we needed. The owners are first rate! Never, ever intrusive despite being just a couple hundred feet above us. BUT always available by VRBO msngr to answer any questions we might’ve had. We had our goddaughter’s family up for a meal when we took advantage of the on-site propane grill. Not only did Christy provide us with lovely patio furniture to accommodate, but she also included a handpicked wildflower nosegay AND a sweet treat!!! I’ve stayed lots of places though this is my first official VRBO. The standard of guest amenities & ease of communication has set the bar QUITE high for future hosts! Can’t wait to be back! ~Dawn & Brian P.S. Please give our love & extra hugs to the boys, Walter & Ollie. The day didn’t feel complete until they’d popped by for some snuggles (& maybe a blueberry or two ☺️) P.P.S. If they can add a washer/dryer, we’d easily stay several weeks!

Some of our favorite travel spots include Kenya, the Outer Banks, Maui, the Florida Keys, and Loreto, Mexico. We're happiest finding a mountain to hike, scuba diving, or exploring a secluded tropical beach. We love immersing ourselves in the culture of a new place and its people.

Cottage sits on 14 private acres and is surrounded by additional acreage - you will truly feel like you're away from it all! Feel free to explore the walking trails or meander down the main road - there is a long logging road that can be easily traversed to take in stunning mountain views!

You can reach Philomath in 10-15 minutes by car, while downtown Corvallis is a short 20 minute drive. Also nearby are Oregon State University (25 minutes) and the HP Campus (also 25 minutes).
