The hosts were so communicative and helpful! The accommodations couldn’t have been better! This location is a prime whale watching spot from the living room or lanai!! Centrally located to so many wonderful sites to see and had all the amenities we needed!

We really enjoyed our stay at Ma'alaea Kai. The condo was very clean and everything was in good condition. The lanai had a great view of the water. Communication with the Host was great. We will stay there again.

The check-in process was great. The remodel was very nice, modern and inviting. Complaints: no hanging soap dish/shelf in shower for soap or shampoo. The countertop was grungy with dried food crumbs and remnants on the surface and on the bull-nose edge. The cabinet handles over the microwave are gummy/sticky when you open them. A saucepan with moldy, rotting food in it was left inside the oven. When the agency came to remove it, no other saucepan was left in the kitchen. When opening the utensil drawer a stench so strong about knocked me over. Possibly whatever another tennant cooked when using it. The smell permeated the other silicone utensil in the drawer. A basting brush was gummy with food left in the bristles. Maybe we are a little spoiled because our friends own one of the units. I understand owners don’t supply everything, but salt and pepper would be a minimal convenience for renters. A laundry basket for transporting dirty clothes to the laundry room would be a minimal convenience also. The unit is great. The biggest problem is the lack of sufficient housekeeping and the lack of response when management was notified of the problems. The only positive from management was the delivery of cookie sheets when we notified them about the saucepan in the oven.
