About the host
Hosted by Jen Heilman

Hi, I’m Jen — welcome!
I’m from the beautiful village of Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, where we’ve lovingly restored and designed the Firehouse Studios to be a space for rest, inspiration, and connection.
I’m an architectural designer by trade, a nature-lover at heart, and a big believer in the quiet magic of well-designed spaces. Hosting guests is a joy for me—it allows me to share this special corner of the world and offer people a place to pause, gather, and breathe a little more deeply.
Whether you're here to explore, recharge, or simply enjoy a change of scenery, I’m honored to welcome you.

Why they chose this property
I chose Shelburne Falls because it’s one of those rare places that still feels like a true village. There’s a strong sense of community here, with local shops, artists, a small brewery, and a pace that encourages you to slow down and really take it in.
The firehouse is right in the heart of it all—just steps from the Bridge of Flowers, the glacial potholes, and great coffee. What I love most is how walkable and welcoming it is. Whether you're heading out for a hike or just grabbing a pastry in town, it feels both peaceful and full of life.

What makes this property unique
What makes the Firehouse Studios unique is the blend of history, design, and comfort. The building itself is a beautifully restored former firehouse, and each studio has its own layout and character—designed to feel both stylish and easy to settle into.
From cozy window seats and reading nooks to fully equipped kitchens and peaceful bedrooms, every detail is meant to support rest, connection, and a sense of belonging. Whether you're traveling solo, as a couple, or with family or friends, the studios offer a place to land that feels a little different—in the best way.
