To be on the Rideau River was wonderful, whether sunny or rainy, and we had both. Being so close to Merrickville and Smiths Falls was a bonus. Finding the place was challenging as the signage is very discrete. The hosts were friendly, informative, and left a delightful hospitality spread. We were pleased to have dependable internet, electricity, and plumbing. Access to swimming in the river was via the neighbour's dock and quite a lot of water plants. The accommodations were a curious mixture of a well-stocked kitchen, and bathroom, a comfortably furnished living/dining room, a generous & hospitable patio, and a terrific bathroom. The bedrooms were disappointingly dirty, and when we opened windows we found all sorts of dirt & mold.

Had everything we needed and host was very helpful and readily available. Enjoyed kayaks and paddle boards. Very quiet and serene location. Very nice deck on the water for relaxing with a glass of wine while nature and boats go by. Exactly what we needed after a busy time.
