There is no cell service and the cooking equipment needs updating. But the location is spectacular. Fishing was awesome right off the docks. The cabin is clean and comfy. We will visit again and bring our boat bext time!

Couldn't Ask For More

Kathy's Cabin on the lake was the perfect getaway for our family. The cabin is cozy, rustic, and familial. We played games, grilled, watched the action on the lake from the boat house. What a location! The view from the property and from the boat house porch is beautiful - lake, mountains, islands. We brought our boat and were able to dock it at the cabin which made each days' excursions so easy! Kathy is very accommodating and welcoming. She made check in very easy, she is communicative and a joy! It was nice to have a local to clue us in on customs of the lake and surroundings. We will be back for sure.

About the host

Our family were the first year round settlers in Saranac Lake. We come from a long line of guides and outdoorsmen. We love this area and grew up on the waterways and lakes here.

Why they chose this property

This cabin was built in 1950 by our grandfather as a hunting and fishing camp and other than building the porch and adding electricity and running water we have tried to keep it as he built it.

What makes this property unique

We are located on the main channel approximately midway between Lake Flower and the boat locks providing easy access for boats of all sizes. Additionally the camp is accessible by car with close proximity to downtown Saranac Lake.
