LAKEFRONT FAMILY RETREAT off the beaten track near LAKE PLACID

This private apartment was built specifically to accommodate families and it is located on the only private road that provides year round access to Oseetah Lake.
• NEWLY BUILD RAIL TRAIL CONNECTS DIRECTLY TO OUR PRIVATE ROAD
• The loft is adjacent to the owner's residence. It is private and is the only rental on the entire 1.7 acre property.
• The lakeside deck, floating dock, swim raft, canoes, kayaks and small sandy beach are shared with the owners.
• Shallow sandy beach facing south is perfect for small children.
• Guests are welcome to enjoy our diverse woodland gardens.

The resident owners are avid hikers, canoeists, X-country skiers and nature photographers and enthusiasts who love to share their years of knowledge about hiking trails and waterways. One owner, Lem, is a botanically trained horticulturist and if time allows, he is glad to provide a tour of our numerous woodland gardens.

Why they chose this property

We selected Oseetah Lake because it enjoys easy access to Lake Placid and Saranac Lake as well as providing a quiet retreat with world-class views of the High Peaks across the lake. Our favorite outdoor activities, cross country skiing, hiking, canoeing and biking are at our doorstep. The mature forests were the perfect setting to develop extensive gardens in a naturalistic style.
