Great spot just outside Lubbock. We used this as a “base camp” and to see Caprock canyon and palo duro, while also getting to stay in a canyon with restaurants 20 min down the road. Very quiet and great sunsets.
This is a great place to just get away from everything! Very well kept, clean with everything you need to spend a day or weekend! It’s located on the Canyon rim with great views. Very comfortable with excellent accommodations, one of the best furnished places I’ve stayed!
The house had a very warm feel and the layout was great for my family gathering. Large kitchen, open family room. The view from the front porch was beautiful, especially for that region, where it is mostly flat views or pure farmland. It was the perfect getaway
Property was a great place and exactly as described. It was nice to be able to have a place for our dogs to run while with us. Host was very easy to communicate with and responsive, we will definitely be back on our future trips to lubbock.
My wife and I stayed here on the way back from New Mexico. Great house out in the country. Fantastic views from a nice, large porch. Super clean with really comfy beds. Perfect place to stay if visiting Lubbock and you want to stay away from town.
We had a wonderful stay with our family while visiting our son at Texas Tech. The home is a 30-minute drive east of campus so it felt like a mini vacation for him too. It's a leap of faith driving to the location that pays off in the end. The picture of the home makes it seem that the house is in foothills (ain't no foothills in Lubbock!) but it is actually in a canyon that is a beautiful oasis. The house was perfect - clean, ESPN+, charcoal grill, huge kitchen. We would definitely stay again!
It is a beautiful house! In an amazing location! It really is a great place to stay, the biggest issue was the entry lock, it was extremely hard to get in, but we made it. I wasn't sure what to do with trash and dirty linens after our visit, there weren't any instructions. Do not follow the directions on the VRBO website, but actually put the address in your GPS. The house needs a bit updating, and the shower in the master has a leak in the head. They need to finish painting the hall wall, and the double beds were not comfortable. All that being said, it was a great stay and we would definitely stay there again!
The VRBO host text me canceling my stay around midnight the night before leaving to attend my daughters graduation at Texas Tech. I would have appreciated a heads up on the cancellation. I booked my stay 9 months before the event in order to avoid
kaos. I was up scrambling to find a hotel at midnight. I can’t understand how VRBO allows hosts to cancel with such short notice.
