We had a great time at this home in Waupaca for a beautiful fall weekend. Its very spacious, but quiet for people doing multiple activities in the house. I would definitely stay again. Downtown is a great place to visit.

Our stay at Shadow Lake Retreat House was delightful! The house had everything we needed: cooking was a breeze in the large, fully stocked kitchen; having fun on the water with kayaks, paddle boards, & canoe; competing with the family at pool table, ping pong, and games; plus bicycles for exploring Waupaca, which is a great town. Erin is a wonderful host: helpful, local, and gracious!

The house was spacious, fully stocked with appliances and cooking items, and had plenty of amenities for the weekend. There were multiple areas to hang out both outside and inside and the beds were comfortable. Fit our group of 12 adults 3 kids with no issues.

The home was beautiful! We loved the large number of spaces for our different families to spread out and relax, and the views of the water were amazing out the large windows. The paddling options on the lake were fantastic and we used them all (canoe, kayaks, paddleboarding). We had a campfire one night and really enjoyed the large kitchen space for our group meals! Erin was super responsive when we reached out to her about a maintenance need. The home felt like a gem!

This is a very well kept property on a lake. Everything is provided from a well stocked kitchen to kayaks, a canoe and bikes. Multiple bedrooms and three bathrooms. Room for everyone! Host responds timely. We have already signed up for next year!

Our family enjoyed this wonderful location for a large family with children from 3 to 16. It was very spacious and family friendly while providing ample opporrtunities to enjoy varying activities. The lilly pad made up for no sand beach on the property and we enjoyed going to the park accross the lake for swimming.

This was perfect for our group of 16. Kids had a blast with the floating mat, kayaks and paddleboards. There is no beach with this rental but we could see South Beach from the dock and it was a 5 minute drive. Massive kitchen so preparing meals/eating was easy. Fishing from the dock kept the kids busy as well.
