The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our anniversary trip. We did not use the hot tub so I cant speak to it but the back porch swing was relaxing. We enjoyed our trip immensely.
Hello everyone this was my first time working with David; the cabin was great, quite, very clean if there was any problems i was able talk with David direct or by tex. I would rent from him again .Thank you Christopher
The cabin is beautiful, but I would like to clear up a few details...it is only semi-private and the neighbors could see right up onto the back deck where the hot tub is. The hot tub is old and some of the jets didnt work, but it was clean and hot. The motor in the jacuzzi tub inside, was so loud, and shook the whole place so much it was impossible to use and enjoy it. The stove top worked but the oven did not. The king size bed is old, it has a dip in the middle that you roll into, it is so uncomfortable and squeaks and makes noise like its about to fall apart. The quilt and blanket need to be replaced or if nothing else washed...they smelled horrible. The wood fireplace does not exist, it is an electric insert...so dont waste 20 on firewood you cant use. The construction that is going on around the cabin is very close and so loud and noisy, a heads up would have been appreciated. The morning we left, we woke up to temps in the mid 60's and a thunderstorm..we tried to turn the heat on, and it stunk up the whole cabin and set off the fire alarm. On a positive note, it was stocked with kitchen appliances and utensils, dishes, towels, a TV, and wifi...wish their were more nice things to say!!
My partner and I booked this cabin as part of a getaway while visiting a wedding venue for our upcoming big day. The venue is about 11 hours from home, so we decided to turn the trip into a short vacation. I grew up in the Maryville area and expected a rural setting, but the drive into the cabin’s location was more intense than anticipated. Some roads were narrow and unlined, and we definitely should have mapped out the safest roads to get there. The driveway itself is quite steep. While my 2WD vehicle made it, I’d recommend something with more horsepower for peace of mind, especially if there is any type of weather. The cabin is beautiful and clearly designed with adults in mind. It’s surrounded by a few other cabins, but the atmosphere was quiet and serene, perfect for unwinding. Unfortunately, the cabin hadn't been cleaned when we got there. There were dirty dishes in the sink, used towels in the bathroom and main area, and the bed was unmade. Cell reception is limited, but we were able to reach the owners via WiFi. They were very responsive and apologetic. Apparently, the cleaning company hadn't lis and offered to send the cleaning crew the next morning. We opted instead for fresh towels and linens, which they provided.Despite the rocky start, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the peaceful setting. That said, we’ll likely choose a location with easier access next time. The cabin itself is lovely, but the experience was a mix of beauty and disappointment.
