This mobile home did not have central air or a dishwasher. It got very hot in the bedrooms so it was difficult to get a good night sleep. One of the beds was very uncomfortable. It leaned as if the frame was broken. I had to wash every dish I used because they were not clean. In the online pictures it showed a dock so we assumed this mobile home was on the water. It was not on the water. I would not stay here again. The host was very friendly, a little too friendly.....constantly texting to see how we were and if we needed anything. I slipped in the shower so asked for a bathmat which she provided.

Hi Nancy, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they would like to share the following:
- We don't advertise having central air conditioning or a dishwasher and apologize if this caught you off-guard. We encourage guests to thoroughly review the listing before booking, to ensure they find the perfect vacation home for their needs.
- Our listing description does mention that the lake is a few short steps away.
- We are always available if guests have any concerns during their stay and were happy to immediately provide you with a bath mat.
We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
The renovations and cleanliness of this property made it so comfortable and relaxing! Ms. Beth is a wonderful hostess and is probably the nicest human being we have ever met!! Waterloo is the cutest little town! Truly a hidden gem! My husband and I stayed for five nights on a fishing trip and we only have positive things to say about our trip!! The property is not right on the water but it is only a short drive or walk away!
This house is exactly what I wanted for my trip to Pickwick Lake. It has great boat parking and it’s in a safe neighborhood with a very nearby boat ramp located about mid lake. It’s unusual but I never once worried about my boat or any of my equipment. The house was very clean and comfortable. Beth, the lady that owns the house, is by far the very best host I’ve ever stayed with. You will not find a more caring and friendly person anywhere. She made sure I had everything I could possibly need. Beth is one of those people you meet and automatically feel that you’ve known her all of your life. I will definitely stay here anytime I come to Pickwick.
The trailer was perfect for our fishing trip... clean, secure and well kept. There was plenty of room for boat parking. Parking for two boats in the drive should be no problem. Beth was outstanding to work with. She's a great lady and was very helpful throughout our stay. We look forward to coming back.
We could not ask for anything better! This 3-day get-away was just what we needed and the property was absolutely inviting and comfortable! Ms. Beth was the ideal host! Hope we can plan another trip soon!
Property was as described. Ms.Beth was amazing! Right on point with communication. Very accommodating. She even helped us find local fishing spots :) We will be back soon!
Stayed here for a big fishing tournament and loved every minute of it. Great accommodations and plenty of room to park a couple boats! Highly recommend staying here! We will be back!
We enjoyed our stay, and Beth was very accommodating. She checked in and brought s’mores. The location is fabulous for a lake weekend. Just a block down from nice boat launch. Roomy parking for truck and boat. Very short walk to convenience store. Overall a great stay!
This is our 2nd time staying at this property. It is located close to the boat ramp and is very well kept. The guest contact Beth is very attentive. Great place for a little country get away.
This rental provided every amenity we could possibly want or need from a fully stocked kitchen, bath, bedrooms, screened in Porch with patio tables, charcoal grill with charcoal and starter provided to a firepit with firewood and kinelin. The owner of the property is the nicest lady and has gone above and beyond to ensure our stay was an enjoyable one. We will definitely be returning for another stay.
Everything was better than expected. Clean, comfortable place to stay with cool little extras!
The worst thing about our stay was the nearest gas station was recovering from a fire and we had to travel a few miles to fuel up the boat. Everything else was perfectly fine!
We were very pleased with our stay!! The house has everything we needed and more to make our stay enjoyable. It was very clean with comfortable beds! Beth went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and make us feel welcome and comfortable. We had a great week bream fishing. The location of this house is perfect and a short drive to the boat launch. It is within walking distance of the dock. We will definitely stay with Beth again when we come back to Waterloo!

GREAT TIME!
Me and a friend stayed for a week of fishing and relaxing, and it worked out great. The boat ramp is an easy walk and that was really convenient. I could fish early and pick my friend up from the ramp after the chilly mornings warmed up. I love small quiet towns and this one is a gem surrounded by gorgeous country. The house was set up well and we never needed anything, the host was super nice!

Disappointed
It’s misleading we were expecting to be on the water. We were surrounded by houses. Never found a pier to fish off of.

Beverly, thank you for your review. Our listing does not state that the home is directly on the water, and we accurately advertise that it is located half a mile away from the Waterloo Boat Ramp. Had you reached out to the homeowners while in residence, they would have been more than happy to direct you there, as it is just a short walk away. We apologize that you were not able to enjoy the amazing location of this quaint home, but we are confident that it will continue to provide 5-star experiences for many happy travelers. Best, the Evolve Team

The owner Beth Ray was very attentive & helpful.
Our stay was great, the neighborhood was very pleasant & friendly. One of the neighbors shared some homegrown tomatoes, and they were delicious. There were a lot of extras the owner provided that usually aren't included. And the offering of shopping and delivery within reason was great. We went to May's Cafe and ate lunch food was good and fast service was great and pleasant. The property was well maintained. We loved the screened in back porch. We used the grill, there were cedar chips provided and fluid. We sit on the front porch in the mornings and the view of the sunrise was breathing. You could see Pickwick lake from the property and we had a blast fishing. We have a Harley and ride but this year we weren't able to ride in the trail of tears, because of my husband's health so it was a wonderful surprise for him. I planned this about 4 months in advance. We meet some very nice people at the Trail Of Tears. Eagle's Point and Waterloo Park are a couple of interest to check out too. The directions took us right to the property. The property was cozy and all the comforts of home. Yes, we would recommend this property it's a great place. You can take mornings walks as we did. We have not had a vacation in over 21 years due to my husband health and this property was the right place for us. Thank you for a wonderful stay we will be back. Mike & Sheiliah McGaughy. Ok one more thing I am a Cherokee Indian and really enjoyed watching the Indian ceremonies and dances. We also walked the Trails of Tears and received a free Trails of Tears T- shirts.
It was a very friendly neighborhood. Loved the morning walks and talking with the neighbors. We could see the Pickwick Lake from the property. Enjoyed lunch at May's Cafe. There was a lot of little extras that made it home away from home really liked that. The owner sent me a text thanking us for using her property, very attentive & helpful with any questions we had. Great hospitality. Will stay again.
