Overall a good trip. Our kids wanted to fish in the lake and be close to Gatlinburg. The lake level was still pretty low but they had a good time. That driveway is steep! We spent a quick weekend there. Went to Gatlinburg (40 min drive to the strip) one day and then hit Pigeon Forge on the way home. There were a few small things like a previous person had a pet and there was pet hair on one bed’s sheets and a dry poop by the hot tub. The hot tub was full of grit, but that might be from the hard water? I rewashed all the silverware because I thought they were dirty, but it was really just very mineralized water. The coffee pot could use descaling. The kids loved the game room! We cooked a few meals including grilling out. While we had plenty of pans/pots, they could use a few replacements. WiFi works, and the AC is cool. If we were to come back, I think we’d wait until the pool was open and the lake was high enough to use the docks to kayak.
