We booked this listing in July for graduation weekend in August. After reservation and first payment were completed, I reached out to the host via in-app inbox to discuss possible check-in time accommodations based on graduation ceremony times. I never received a response from the owner. I attempted to contact on two different occasions via in-app inbox, but never received a response. I attempted to contact host via text message and phone calls on multiple occasions, but no one answered the phone and the inbox was full so I couldn't leave a message. The day before our booking, I called customer service and voiced my concern of being unable to reach the host. They attempted to reach the host via phone and were also unsuccessful. I voiced concern of what would happen if we would encounter issues upon check-in and the host was unresponsive. Customer service stated that procedures would be in place, but the listing had a history of previous positive client experiences. On the day of our check-in, we walked into a dirty home. The property was not properly cleaned. Dead bugs could be seen on the floor. One of the faucets was broken. We immediately reached out to customer service and sent images via email of the property's conditions. They attempted to reach the host and were still unsuccessful. This was a very disappointing and stressful experience that no one else should have to undergo.
