About the host

Host profile image
Hi, I’m Sun! I’m an interior designer and mom based in Ardsley, NY. I grew up in South Korea and Maryland, studied design at FIT in NYC, and have spent 20+ years creating spaces that are both stylish and livable. Now I run my own design studio and love helping people feel at home. I’ve designed this place with care, and I hope you enjoy it.

Why they chose this property

The house sits right on the water at the end of a quiet street, where mornings begin with mist rising off the lake and loons calling in the distance. I love watching the sun sparkle across the water from the dock or while sipping coffee on the deck.

The neighborhood is peaceful yet close to town—you can walk or bike in for a coffee, explore local shops, or grab dinner without ever needing the car. Neighbors are friendly, and nature is all around, from mountain views to trails just minutes away.

What I enjoy most is the balance: the stillness of the lake right outside the door, paired with the convenience of being just a short stroll from everything in town. It feels both tucked away and connected at the same time.

What makes this property unique

What makes our property unique is the blend of lakefront living and in-town convenience. You can step outside and be on the boat within minutes, or take an easy stroll into town for coffee, shopping, or dinner.

As a mom with a teenager, I love that it gives kids the independence to explore both the water and the town safely and freely—whether that means paddling out on the lake or walking into town with friends. It’s rare to have this kind of freedom and connection in one place.
