The home is nicely decorated and includes plush linens and top-notch kitchen supplies. The hosts even supplied smores fixings to make the fire pit even more inviting. Yum! There are indoor and outdoor games. We especially enjoyed the nearby bird sanctuary. We also took advantage of parking on the beach for our evening walks.

We had a family of 11 stay here this past week. The pics are a little deceptive, it’s way bigger than the pics lead on. It was very clean, beds were soft and cool. Extra towels for the pool. Super dog friendly! There is only one bathroom, but it wasn’t an issue at all. The pool was a huge hit as well, it’s shaded! So after the kids got too much sun at the beach, they could still swim! There is super close beach access and a little store that has literally everything right down the road. It’s only 25 min from emerald beach which was very spacious and less crowded than closer to crystal beach. We will definitely be back!

Overall the stay was okay. There were several things (I've already addressed with the owners) that could have definitely been better. I know they are not the ones maintaining the homes cleanliness but I think they should check in on that more often. Was it an okay stay?? Yes. Would I rent it again? No, probably not. Lights and A/C not working in the kids bunk room.....we made do. Only one restroom was working....we made do. Sugar ants in the kitchen. Dirty dishes in the drawers. Off white couch in a rental, not a great choice. Again, alot of this is on the cleaning crew. Make sure you bring kitchen towels, and any cleaners you might need just for daily tidying up. Also bring blankets if you need them.

This was a great listing! Very accurate description, clean , comfortable, lots of space. Outdoor space was great! Great value! High Island is a tough location for accommodations. It is an oasis for birders and beachers. We are grateful to have this option. We would definitely stay again.
