This is a lovely house very private and surrounded by vines , it has everything you need from a well stocked kitchen to decent internet and a modern tv , the beds are comfortable and plenty of space , you can either relax at home or use it as a base to travel further afield as we did with trips to Yosemite and Reno amongst others , good shops not far , owner and management crew all good and respect your privacy Thank you for renting us your home
I think this is our fourth time staying at this house in the vineyard, which tells you how much we love it! We always have so much fun and enjoy the pool. The weather is great and the house has all the necessary amenities. We can't wait to come back!!
Great little cottage with a nice little pool! We Enjoyed the place very much, having our coffee among the vineyards was a treat! We would stay here again. minor details like a water faucet in the main Bathroom was not working properly and the shower was a bit dusty but overall was Great!!
We love this space and have been here twice in the fall. Clean, quiet and restful. I love the pool, yard and patio especially. My husband spent hours sitting out at night looking at the stars. I grew up not far from here and this beautiful spot in the valley is always restful and invigorating. Like coming home.
This was our second time staying at this great property. The location is ideal to get around to all the wineries, stores, highway etc but it is also secluded. It sits back on the property surrounded by beautiful grapes. Everything was perfect!
A beautiful and private location in a vineyard.
The house is conveniently located for those touring wineries in the Lodi area, and Amador county is only about 45 minutes away. We have stayed here five times and hope to return again. Highly recommended.
Was in the area for an engagement party and Geri was really lovely to speak with and the check in process was super simple. The vineyard on the property was gorgeous and the house was exactly what we needed. Really a great experience!

Wonderful retreat in a vineyard
Great house in a vineyard was a perfect size for my son and his family. The pool provided a lot of fun for the kids. It was very comfortable and relaxing. This is our second year in a row renting it for them.
This is a wonderful property. It is located in a vineyard with a pool, which was welcome in the 100+ heat. It is located a short drive from many wineries and about 15 minutes from downtown Lodi. Geri is very responsive to all of your needs. We have stayed here several times and will continue to do so.

House in the Vines
This is my second visit to the "House in the Vines" and before I left I booked the house for next year. My brother lives in the area and the house is perfect for a family gathering. We all enjoy the pool and relaxed atmosphere of being surrounded by the vineyards.
This was a wonderful and too short getaway!! The house is perfect, very clean and everything you need is there. With weather temperatures around 100 degrees the pool was certainly great. Everything about this place is very nice. I especially loved being in the middle of those ancient vines. Like previous reviews, I can’t wait to return.

Peaceful getaway!
What a beautiful, peaceful hide-a-way! Hidden in the vineyards, the world seems miles away! Close to all the wineries but so beautiful you will not want to leave. Spacious, comfortable - all the amenities! You can watch both gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. We will be back this time next year - and the next, and the next!

Very Good!
Thanks for the great House and the wine! House is clean, very calm region, pool is great! Thanks to Geri and Steve! Wonderful days in Lodi, San Francisco and the Yosemite!
We were visiting from out of state. Since we lived in the area for most of our lives we were looking for a place to entertain small groups of friends and family and this was perfect. The only reason I gave a 4 on location is some people found it hard to locate the driveway. But we loved being in the vineyard.
We enjoyed our stay at Marissa Cottage. Communication with property manager was good. Check-in was easy. House was perfect for us and our friends (2 couples). Great location. kitchen was well supplied. The only negative was the pool was dirty because the vacuum was not working right. We hope to stay here again.
Amazing privacy, super easy check-in, great house. Unfortunetly, we took our trip in the middle of the armageddon and the smoke & ash made using the pool impossible. However, we will be coming back to take full advantage of the house. :)

Fabulous place
Our stay at this property was wonderful. Atmosphere and the home was more than one could ask for. The people were wonderful if we had any issue with somethhing at the house they were right there. I would love to go back and stay there again just to sit by the beautiful pool and look at the vineyards. Our stay was to short to get full enjoyment but next time it will for sure be more than 5 days. Thank you Geri and all your staff it was a great time. We'll be back for sure.
Excellent stay although I would have liked to use the pool. Everything was done to help with that but it will take more time. I appreciated all the help I did get.

Wonderful!
Geri and the Ladies at Klinker Brick Winery were lovely to work with! Our flight got delayed the night before which changed all our plans and they accomodated us by getting us into the house much earlier than expected. The house was beautiful, comfortable and clean. If we ever are in the Lodi area again we will definitely stay at the Marissa House again and would highly recommend the house to anyone looking for a wonderful relaxing place to stay!

Relaxing location!
The house is set back from the road in the vineyards, so you don’t see the road or hear any traffic noise. The pool was fun. My 6-year-old daughter spent the entire time in the pool. I loved the ability to close the gate to the pool for safety. I would stay again! The complimentary bottle of was a very nice touch. We pick up the keys at the winery and got a few bottles of wine too. Very convent. Safeway delivers to this location too. Also, very convent. I do wish the master bedroom had a shower. It’s equipped with a tub only and there is no door separating the bedroom from the bathroom. Overall, great location and clean! The owners are very responsive and professional.
Everything from start to finish was perfect! Geri, the property manager, was always prompt in her responses and very nice. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner which added to our wonderful experience. The house is very clean and really appreciated all of the amenities. It was such a thoughtful gesture to be greeted with a bottle of Klinker Brick wine, which we thoroughly enjoyed! We also did a tasting at the winery and purchased some of their great wine to drink in the evenings while relaxing. The location of this property is ideal! Close to downtown and so many other wineries. As mentioned in the listing, there is a pool, but we did not have the opportunity to use it as we were out exploring the local area all day. We did make a day trip to Plymouth, CA and would recommend a visit there! When we return to Lodi, we would definitely stay at the Marisa Cottage again.
We came to Lodi under very difficult circumstances as our mother was transitioning to death. Geri's place turned out to be our saving grace. We were able help our father make decisions about arrangements that he wasn't ready for. Coming back to the place allowed us to take healing walks in the vineyards, cook our own meals in the well stocked kitchen without the noise of restaurants, see amazing sunsets, and sleep in soft, comfy beds. We would bring our 85-year-old dad back to the place for a home cooked meal and a debrief of the day before he returned to his own home and he was always comfortable while he napped in front of the fire.
Geri was very accommodating when we were stuck in Reno due to Donner being closed and always responded quickly and was very willing to even let us offer a shower to another family member.
We highly recommend Marisa Cottage. Thank you, Geri!

About the host
Hosted by Geri
The Felten Family owns and manages fifteen individual vineyard blocks of “Old Vine” Zinfandel ranging in age from 35 to 117 years old. Each vineyard is planted in sandy loam soils along the Lodi Mokelumne River Region and up into the Clements Foothills.
In 1996, the family began to produce Zinfandel for the bulk wine market, selling wine to a number of prestigious, benchmark producers of Zinfandel in Napa and Sonoma Counties.
In 2000, Steve and Lori made the decision to start their own winery with the mission to produce exceptional Zinfandel. They continue to make wine from all of the vineyard blocks, culling only the very best lots for bottling Klinker Brick and designated vineyard wines. Klinker Brick also produces Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Rosé, and more.
Why they chose this property
Nestled on The Marisa Vineyard, which makes the award winning Marisa Old Vine Zinfandel.
