Charming 2-bedroom cabin in fabulous Murphy, NC Next Chapter's Retreat

This is your invitation to rediscover yourself, ignite your creativity, and settle into an environment designed for peace, quiet, tranquility, and inspiration. This retreat is more than just a getaway; it's a way to rejuvenate and invest in yourself.

2 GUESTS MAXIMUM. Not suitable for kids.

This 2 bedroom 2 bath cabin is on top of a mountain at 2,200'.
We have 180 degree sunrise mountain views that are one in a million!
Starlink high speed internet is provided, as well as a Smart TV.

NOTE: While you do not need 4WD, the road up to the cabin is a gravel road for 7/10 of a mile with turns and a couple of switchbacks.

Maximum of two adults per visit. No pets, and the property is not suitable for kids under 18, as this is a retreat.

Turn off the lights and lock the doors
There is a laundry basket on top of the washing machine that you can put used sheets and towels in.
Please load the dishwasher, but we can run it after checkout.
Please reset the thermostat to 77°, and lock the doors on the way out. Thank you so much!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
We prefer bookings between two and ten night stays. We don't accommodate long-term stays, as this cabin is meant to be a retreat. Thank you!

The our host Heather was very responsive and informative.The cabin is well appointed, very clean and we'll stocked for your daily needs. The view! You cannot beat this beautiful, peaceful view. First of all, the view is more amazing in person than in the photos! The kitchen was perfectly stocked and the Blackstone made for effortless meals with a view. Everything worked as it should and the place was super clean. Attention to detail is an understatement! We will definitely be booking again here shortly and we have passed this place on to our friends. The property is nicely situated so that you feel away from it all but youre still a short distance to town. Don't hesitate to book for a couples getaway.

As my wife and I have stayed in a great deal of VRBO rentals, we found these accommodations above the rest. The cleanliness of the place was excellent. The communication with the owner was always in a timely manner. We had no difficulties getting to this clean and well equipped home.

Heather and Stephen spent from 2020 to 2021 living full-time in their 5th wheel. While on the road, they ended up buying a campground and spent three years as owner operators. After selling it in 2024, they decided to settle down in the Western North Carolina Mountains. Running a vacation rental cabin is very rewarding after the campground!

Heather is an author, so she spends a lot of time at local coffee shops writing. Stephen is a former cyber security salesman and now coaches clients on becoming debt free.

Why they chose this property

The views! From sunrise to sunset, the 180 degree southeast views are spectacular. While it is a gravel road (for 8/10 of a mile) going up, it's worth it when you get there!
Deer and turkeys frolic and roam around the mountain top and are often seen in the backyard.

What makes this property unique

Again - the views! While there are a handful of cabins on top of our mountain, this cabin has the most expansive. At 2,200' altitude, guests can see several Blue Ridge Mountain ranges in the distance.
