So glad you guys had a great stay at The Grove Cottage! The Hocking Hills are starting to spring to life! You were wonderful guests! We would welcome you again any time!
Property was very clean, cozy and well located for our needs. We were able to explore the various trails at the State Park and come back in the afternoons for relaxation in the hot tub, a game of pool or curling up on the comfy sofa with a book. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I had a question about the hot tub and Ethan responded immediately. Would recommend to others!

Thanks for the great review Tayna! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Come back any time!
The location is great! 10 minutes from old man’s cave and ash cave. The kitchen had tons of space and provided basic cooking gear. The hotub was a let down. It needed a deep clean and It had a leak so we had to keep filling it back up which brought the temperature down. Blackstone was nice and has a good little bonfire setup as well.

Thank you for staying with us and for your feedback—we truly appreciate it.
We’re sorry the hot tub didn’t provide the relaxing experience you were expecting. The leak was unexpected, but it has since been repaired so future guests can enjoy it without interruption.
We also appreciate your note on its appearance. While the hot tub is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between guests, we understand how hard water staining can affect the look, and we’re working on improving that.
Thank you again for your feedback—it helps us continue to improve. We’d love the opportunity to host you again and provide a five-star experience.
Thank you again for staying!
Loved just about everything about the place! The house felt like home. Super comfy couch and loveseat. Played pool all day with my son. The hot tub was wonderful. The host was easy to communicate with. I would suggest the mattress in the master bed get swapped out as it was rough to sleep on. Besides that this place is going to be our to to for getaways we loved it.

We found the Host Ethan to be very responsive and welcoming. The home is exactly as advertised with lots and lots of personal touches to make you feel at home. From a welcome package of snacks to firewood for the firepit. The home was spotless and the beds were comfy. It was a great stay. Thanks Ethan & Sierra!

Thank you for the glowing review Tony! We appreciate it so much! So glad you enjoyed our home and found it comfortable! We would love to have you again sometime soon!
Excellent 1 night stay. We wish it could have been there longer. Clean, as advertised, affordable and perfect. Very nice place. We came in after dark. The windy roads and elevation changes made a vehicle occupant motion sick. Just as we got there I lost Verizon cell. Of course, the check in directions were digital. I had written down the address but had to wait for the lock code. No one with service could access my email. I had to leave my recovering person on the stoop with a blanket and a friend and drive back up the road two miles to get service and the code. Not anyone’s fault but l will try to write down codes asap next time. Always an adventure.

Wonderful cabin! Host was great, very communicative and friendly. Cabin was easy to find. Super clean and comfortable. Suprr close to Ash Cave, whicj is a favorite location of ours. Will definitely book again as we are regular visitors to the area!
Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The pool table was an absolute blast. The pool table was our favorite part, we definitely made some lifelong memories playing together. The kitchen was great to make meals in. It was large with lots of counter space and plenty of cookware. The hot tub dropped a little bit at night after our soak (it was around 20 degrees during our stay so I believe it was due to that) but it warmed up after a few hours! Very close to most of the state park hikes, some restaurants, and granny faye’s. The beds were also super comfortable :) I highly recommend staying here!

About the host
Hosted by Ethan Warner
We’re Ethan and Sierra Warner, owners of Genesis Grove. We live just a few miles away in Amanda, Ohio, and we are so excited to host you. This is a new family venture for us, and we’re honored to share a special part of our dream with you. The Grove Barn, formerly known as the Timberline Barn, was thoughtfully built in 2023 by the property’s former owners and lovingly operated as a wedding and event venue. When our family purchased the property in April 2025, we envisioned something more—a place where people could not only gather for special events, but also stay on-site to savor the full experience. That vision gave rise to Grove Cottage, converted from the original private residence on the property. It’s designed to be a cozy and welcoming retreat for couples, families, and friends—whether you're here for a celebration, a quiet weekend, or simply a getaway in the countryside.
Why they chose this property
The Hocking Hills is a gorgeous location with so many natural features to explore. We have lived nearby our whole lives and hiked many of the local trails, even getting engaged at a scenic overlook right here in the Hocking Hills! We love the tranquility of the trees and fields and the peace that settles over us as we look out over the back valley of the property.
What makes this property unique
The Grove Cottage is 'home'. So many reviews have said how much they felt comfortable and welcome the minute they stepped in the door. We have tried to think of everything and we hope it shows!
