#3 Weekly Rental (Saturday to Saturday)

Riverfront Cottage located near Clayton, New York on the St. Lawrence River.

There is a beautiful view of the main shipping channel and the sunsets are spectacular.

This cottage is ideal for couples, fishermen or small families.

This cottage will sleep five people with two bedrooms and a sofa in the living area. The cottage includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker.
Basic Cable TV and WiFi are provided. Boat dockage is included.

Bed linens, blankets, pillows, and towels, cooking pots and pans, plates, cups, cooking utensils and silverware are NOT provided.

Dogs are allowed with owners approval and There is a pet fee.

There is a children’s playground and a small sandy beach.

Enjoy the fishing, boating, kayaking, or just enjoy relaxing by the river.

Close to all the area attractions, including Restaurants, Stores, Golf courses, Museums, Boat tours, Wineries etc.

Great place!

We loved staying here. Cottage was very clean and the location was amazing. The kids swam in the water daily and we went kayaking a few times. The cottage is located nicely near plenty of things to do. We’d definitely recommend staying here

St Lawrence fishing trip

Cottage was very clean . Grounds were well kept. Owners were friendly and helped with any needs. We had a great trip. Would definitely go back.

Channel View Cottages

Everything you could need in a vacation cottage. New extra long dock to tie your boat is a big plus. Friendly owners who are right there for any help or info you may need. Worth the money…..will stay again

Great Stay !

Just as described and just as shown in the pictures. The cabin we rented for 2 weeks was basic, clean, and small - it was perfect for our needs. BYO linens, towels, pillows, pots, cooking and dining utensils. I rented a fishing boat from the Bretsch's as well. I would rent here again. Thanks Larry, Lee, Lynn & Family for a great stay! Another great year on The River

This is my second year staying at the Bretsch cottages. Everyone is so friendly and it's very safe. We launched our kayaks right from the beach in front of the cabins. The location is perfect between Clayton and Alex Bay.

R&R on the River

The waterfront location near Clayton on the main channel is ideal . Rental includes dockage for a boat . Great spot for children with raft , playground and sandy beach . Onsite manager Drew was very pleasant and accommodating . We had a very warm week so we were grateful for the air con in the bedrooms and ceiling fans . Cozy cabin . Highly recommend !

We absolutely recommend Chanel View Cottages. Lee and his two brothers offer a very relaxing low key atmosphere for relaxing. The welcome gifts were very sweet of them. Had a great vacation to celebrate our 30th Anniversary! We made our deposit for next year! Can’t wait.

"A Week In PARADISE"

My wife, Cindy and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in "North Country" with the Bretsch family at their Channel View Cottages. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. The cottages were charming and very clean. The views sitting in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the St. Lawrence Seaway are spectacular. We spent many an evening, just relaxing with a cocktail,after a day touring the area, enjoying the sunsets and watching the large ships pass thru the channel. The Bretsch family are very friendly and someone is always on the property to accommodate your every need. We greatly enjoyed hanging out with the extended Bretsch family at the fire pit and getting to know them.The cottages are in a great location just outside of the quaint town of Clayton N.Y. and a short distance from Alexandria Bay and Cape Vincent. We used it as a starting point to see many of the areas attractions such as Boldt Castle, Singer Castle and a visit to Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The town of Clayton has much to offer out of town visitors with its many fine restaurants, shops and museums. We highly recommend Bretsch's Channel View Cottages as an ideal vacation spot. What a Great Place

Ok, Since Larry couldn’t do anything about the rain today ..I’ll do a review. We arrived last Saturday , Warmly greeted by Larry’s Brother Lynn. Lynn likes to chat ! 😃. Shorty after Lynn left explaining it was Larrys turn . Larry and his brother are just down right nice folks!! Warm n welcoming and def in the right business ! More than willing to share experiences and local tips. The cottages are cute n cozy. Pretty much everything ya need for a stay. The Local cheese and cherries in the refrigerator was a nice and delicious touch !! The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of ! The common space and Adirondack chairs are inviting and as they say, perfect for viewing Spectacular Sunsets !!!!! My only disappointment was that our cottage was not right on the river. Out of 4 cottages , 2 are rt on the shore and 2 set back about 100 feet or so, but still a nice view !! I would definitely stay here again. These people make you feel welcomed and more like friends than anything else !! Oh yeah... Larry’s son Drew likes to stop by and chat as well. And a nice guy as well

Wonderful!

My husband and I had a wonderful week staying in Cottage #3. We loved it so much that we already put our deposit down for next year! The views are spectacular and the location is perfect for sightseeing/eating/etc. in both Clayton and/or Alexandria Bay. We were able to keep our boat docked right in front which was very convenient. We met two of the owners, Larry and Lee, who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and to help in any way. Can't wait for next summer when we will be back!

Beautiful view and a relaxing vacation

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this beautiful location on the St. Lawrence in June. We were greeted by the owner and made to feel welcomed with a gift bag of goodies. So thoughtful! The cottage is clean, well maintained and they even installed air conditioners in the bedrooms during our time there, so they are available for the rest of the season. Other than bringing our own linens and some food, everything was provided for us. Clayton is only a few miles away for shopping and dining. The sunsets are spectacular from the rivers edge We will definitely be coming back for our vacation next year!

This cottage was built in the early 1950's and has been in the family since. Current owners, Lynn, Lee and Larry obtained ownership in 2000 and with their wives Mabel, Marsha and Susan have been sharing responsibilities and hospitality since then. We truly enjoy our renters and sharing this beautiful area known as the Thousand Islands.
We strive to keep our cottages neat and clean. some of our renters have been staying with us since the 1950's and 1960's. Many of our renters have enjoyed staying with us for years and continue to come back and we enjoy having them.
