Highlights of this unique villa in the heart of Amalfi coast are breathtaking views from all rooms and terraces to the ocean and the coast. 2000 sq. ft living area and 2400 sq. ft terraces offer space to relax and enjoy. The villa is situated just above the ocean in a secluded position but at the same time close to the amenities of Amalfi and Positano. 5 restaurants wait for our guests in the romantic bay of "Marina di Praia" close by in walking distance.

Furnished as an upscale, cosy Italian family home, decorated with many paintings and sculptures. Air condition in all bed rooms and heating in colder months. A unique corridor carved out of the rock connects all rooms. WLAN, cable TV, CD player.

The large kitchen with sea view is equipped with all you need to prepare excellent meals. Groceries can be delivered to the villa.

You can swim in the pool - on the same level as the main terrace - or from the platform (with deck chairs) by the sea. From there you can be picked up by a water taxi or start a wonderful excursion along the scenic coast as far as Capri with a rented motor boat or yacht.

The parking, pool and platform are also used by the inhabitants of the villa of our neighbor, situated below our main terrace. We both share the the large gated property with 90 yards of shoreline.

Sensational vacation

The house is really fantastic, even in winter time. While it is warm and cozy inside, you can listen to the roaring see outside. The views from all rooms are spectacular. Both, the team onside and the owners went out of their way to meet our needs. This house can only be recommended!

The whole experience of this stay was amazing… Views from the house Staff were so friendly and accommodating The house was so charming and comfortable. Please arrange transportation during your stay, as it’s a bit harder because the drivers are busy during busy season

Absolute Paradise

We stayed as a party of 6 , three generations.This villa is so beautiful and comfortable. Waking up to the ocean and the sound of goat bells on the nearby hills was delightful. We all had our own en-suite. We cooked numerous family meals and were spoiled for choices of seating to enjoy our meal. The pool was a hit with our grandsons. Internet worked well. Accessible to the rest of the Amalfi Coast. The staff were welcoming and helpful.In short, we loved this villa!

From the moment we arrived it was spectacular! Luca was right there to welcome us into this understated villa nestled in the Amalfi cliffs with panoramic stunning views of the sea! This home was spectacular inside and out! Everything you need is at your fingertips and Luca was always ready to help with anything you could imagine- reservations, boat excursions, water taxi, pizza delivery and more! We stayed just over a week and our favorite activity became swimming in the sea at the waters edge! Teresa came most days and kept things clean and comfortable and Alfonso came and kept the gardens and pool in pristine shape. I look forward to returning but for a longer time! If you are looking for the perfect vacation this is it! Thanku!

A very beautiful villa

What a fantastic place to stay! Characterful and extremely well equipped. The views are amazing and the outdoor space was beautifully decorated with plants and places to sit and relax and is as accommodating as the indoor space. Swimming in the sea from the platform below the villa was a regular morning event. A walk into the marina and nearby village is a little daunting with busy traffic and without a footpath. The villa owner was extremely friendly and helpful and our maid Teresa was lovely. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Amazing Villa - Highly Recommend

My family (husband and I, my mother, 2 kids - aged 3 yrs and 18 months) stayed at the villa the first week of April 2009. The house is amazing - spacious, breathtaking views, extensive outdoor area - decks, pool, lemon grove, stairs leading down to the water. The pictures and description are 100% accurate. The main large deck is well gated and our children were able to play freely; there was a crib available for us to use. Large screen TV and wireless access were appreciated amenities. Every room has a view and a window that opens - heaven! Teresa cooked us one of the best meals we had in all of Italy. We found the grocery delivery that Frank has arranged extremely helpful. The house was conveniently located - we visited Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello, as well as made easy stops at the Grotto Esmerelda and roadside ceramics shops. I would highly recommend this villa and hope to stay there again in the future.

From start to finish, our experiences staying at this home and renting from Frank, were outstanding. The house has a glorious view- a uniquely Amalfi coast view; It’s not just an infinite body of brilliant blue you can see from anywhere. But, from this property, the romantic ancient Saracen tower in the distance and swaying boats that sparkle in the sun and moonlight below at the craggy shore become like characters. Walking down from the house on the private path, amidst the fragrance of the lemon trees to swim off the rocks was like dream. Taking a boat from those rocks below the house to a local seafood restaurant and then having a dinner prepared for us at the house and eating amidst this beautiful setting were the highlights of our trip. Walking with our teenaged kids to the fiordo (10-15 min) and seeing the daring souls jumping off the cliff into the water, was also incredibly fun- and it’s a beautiful little beach. Luca , Theresa and Frank were also pleasures to deal with. This is a treasure of a property!

A home from my dreams.

I don't know that I could imagine a more perfect home for a vacation on the Amalfi coast. I'm honestly afraid to write an honest review, worried it would lead to us being unable to stay again next year. I don't know how it was available in the first place. Fate? I spent the last week waking up with Nespresso with whipped milk, local ricotta on toast, and lunch and dinner with the best local northern Italian food you've ever had. We started with a car, four phones, and mild awkwardness between distant family and ended with no car, two phones, 4 books, a deck of cards, and a group of friends and family for life. This home made us let go, have a glass of wine, take in the sun, snorkle until we were sunburned, stay up playing darts, and walking to Paraia to try another dish and bottle at our new favorite restaurant. The showers were hot, Theresa was pleasant - this is a find. We plan on coming back very very soon (if Frank will have us). :) Ciao!

Amazing Almafi Villa

The villa is actually prettier than the online posting. The location is perfect, away from the busy streets of Positano but walking distance to some great restaurants in Praiano. Having direct access to the sea for swimming or getting picked up by boat for adventures was fantastic. From picking fresh lemons each morning to using Franks connections for great dinners to finish the day - I cannot say enough wonderful things about this villa.

Tolle Villa in einzigartiger Lage mit Pool und Meerzugang

Wir haben 7 Tage in dieser einzigartigen Villa verbracht. Die Terrassen, der Blick, der Pool, der direkte Meerzugang sind einfach toll (Pool und Meerzugang teilt man sich mit noch einer weiteren Familie - das hat uns nicht gestört). Wir haben aufgrund von Franks Empfehlung kein Auto gemietet, sondern sind per Taxi angereist. Das haben wir nicht bereut. Lebensmittel haben wir bei Tutto per Tutti im nahegelegenen Ort per Taxi eingekauft - hätte man sich aber auch liefern lassen können. Ein paar Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar - allerdings muss man auf dem Rückweg bergauf gehen :-) und man sollte abends einen Taschenlampe oder Headlamp mitnehmen, damit man gesehen wird. Man läuft zwar nicht lange und nicht weit, aber tatsächlich auf der engen Küstenstraße. Wir würden wiederkommen!

Pure bliss at Villa la Madonnina

Villa la Madonnina is a magical place that provided our family with memories that will last a life time. From the incredible views, the amazing swims in the villa's private cove, the terraces full of charm and a house with such amazing character, we were adored Villa la Madonnia. We hiked to the grocery store in Positano and made family dinners at night as the evenings were so spectacular, we didn't want to miss the sunsets from our deck. Dr. Frank is a very carrying owner and he even stock a wine cellar with local wines (you just leave money at the end of your stay). We highly recommend Villa la Madonnina - the location is perfect and it is easy to get around (we recommend water taxi's via the harbor just next to the villa)

Einfach ein Traum ...

Wunderschöne Lage mit herrlichem Blick, direkter Zugang zum Meer und große Terrassen machen den Urlaub in Villa la Madonnina zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Das Haus sehr sauber und gepflegt. Eine kleine Bucht mit romantischen Restaurants ist gleich um die Ecke. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit!

Great Quiet Location

We just spent a week at Villa La Madonnina and we had a great vacation. The property location was great however if you don’t have a car, be prepared to get boats and taxis as walking is not the safest option and everything is relatively far considering the waking conditions. Luca was absolutely amazing and had he not made himself available to us be it getting what we might need or making reservations for dinners and transportation, it would have been a much less enjoyable experience. Theresa is fantastic as well and we would highly recommend her preparing a meal for you. Theresa’s husband worked diligently keeping the grounds clean and went out of his way to make a fishing rod for our son which was awesome. If aesthetics are important, the furniture/bedding is a little dated , however you will spend most of your time outside taking in the breathtaking views, so it was not a problem for us. All in all a fantastic vacation and we would recommend the villa.

Zwischen Himmel und Meer

Wir verbrachten eine Woche in diesem wunderbaren Haus an der Amalfiküste. Direkter Zugang zum Meer, türkisblaues Wasser und wunderbare Ausblicke von allen Zimmern. Am liebsten sind wir zuhause geblieben und haben die Sonne und die Aussicht von einer der großen Terrassen genossen. Abends haben wir in der perfekt ausgestatteten Küche selbst gekocht oder eines der romantischen Restaurants in der Bucht gegenüber besucht. Insgesamt ein unvergesslicher Urlaub in einer traumhaften Umgebung.

Fabulous villa with large pool and private access

Fantastic villa in a fabulous position with outstanding views. It was very spacious with plenty of outside eating areas. The pool was large and deep - I couldn't stand up at all so beware if you have small children, but was perfect for diving and getting in some serious lengths. It was well equipped. Walking distance to a number of good restaurants and we had a free boat ride to one further along the coast. The only downside is the drive, very steep and narrow with no space to turn at the end so you either have to reverse in or out. Best to have a small car.
