We just love Coosawattee River Resort. Tucked into the North Georgia mountains, the area immediately stood out for its peaceful setting—surrounded by forest, wildlife, and the calming presence of the river. It felt like a true escape from the pace of everyday life, while still being an easy drive to all of the attractions of Ellijay and Blue Ridge.

The resort itself was a huge draw. With amenities like multiple pools, river access, hiking trails, fishing ponds, pickleball & tennis courts, and a fitness center, it provides something to enjoy year-round without ever needing to leave the community. It strikes that rare balance of feeling both private and active—whether we want a quiet weekend on the deck or a fun, full day outdoors.

It is also such an easy drive to our favorite wineries, breweries & waterfalls!

In addition to the game room with basketball. air hockey & more, we’ve stocked the cabin with a wide variety of fun, family-friendly games so there’s always something to do, whether it’s a cozy night in or a rainy afternoon. Step outside and you’ll find two inviting outdoor decks, perfect for morning coffee, evening wine, or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings.

We’ve also added thoughtful touches to make your stay feel personal and memorable—like deer food so you can enjoy the magic of feeding the local wildlife right outside your door, and a s’mores station for those classic, cozy nights under the stars.

Traveling with a furry friend? We’ve made sure they feel just as welcome, with dog bowls, a dog bed and treats ready for them to enjoy.

Inside, comfort and convenience are key. Each room is equipped with an Alexa so everyone can listen to their favorite music or set the perfect vibe, and we’ve included a Keurig coffee maker stocked with a variety of flavors so you can start your mornings with a little extra indulgence.
