Casa Del Sol I - Large Single-Family Home With Private Pool

This home was built in 2006 and has been freshly painted with beautiful tropical decor to get you in the island mood! The home is large enough for two families to stay comfortably with 4 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It is a perfect home away from home for relaxing and entertaining.

There is a large open-area living/dining/kitchen upstairs with several windows to give you a great view while you are cooking or relaxing! Everything you will need is provided in this kitchen including all dishes, glasses, silverware, toaster, can opener, blender, knives, coffeemaker, pots, pans, and anything else you might need!

The living room has a comfortable sofa and loveseat that is an excellent space to watch the 42' TV. There is a DVD player and a selection of movies for your entertainment - or bring your own! There is a beautiful granite dining table that seats 6 and more room outside on the front deck to eat.

The upstairs front deck is a great place to relax and enjoy your morning cup of coffee at the outdoor table or watching the Saturday night fireworks while sitting in the cool breeze. Make sure you check out the ocean view from the deck while you are relaxing!

The large upstairs master suite is a sanctuary away from home. The bedroom boasts a king size bed, large walk-in closet, a loveseat, and a 37' TV. There is a tiled shower/tub combo and double vanity. There is also a deck off the master bedroom that overlooks the pool.

There is another bedroom upstairs that has a queen size bed, large closet, and TV. The guests that stay in this bedroom will also have their own bathroom with a shower/tub combo.

There are 2 guest bedrooms downstairs with a bath. Bedroom #1 has a Queen size bed and a Queen size sleeper sofa. There is a large closet and TV.

Bedroom #2 has 2 Queen size beds . This room is large enough to also bring in the fold-a-way cots that are stored in the garage if you need more sleeping space. This room also has a TV with DVD player.

The downstairs bath has a shower/tub combo so if you have smaller children that need to take a bath you are able to take care of them.

There is a large laundry room so that you can wash all the sand away before you pack up.

There is WiFi access, Spectrum Cable, and several DVDs to choose from. Every room is equipped with a TV and DVD player. If you would like to bring your game system it would easily hook up in any room. I know how important it is to keep the kiddos entertained even when there is a beach just a short walk from the front door!

There are beach toys and beach towels so that you don't have to buy or bring these items for your stay. When you come back from a long day at the beach use the outdoor shower to get off all the sand before you jump in the cool pool right in the backyard. There is a large deck area that has relaxing Adirondack chairs as well as lounge chairs to work on your tan!

This house is located only 1/2 block to the beach access and near the middle of the island so everything is within walking distance.

If you enjoy exercising, this is a great place to run or jog. There is a walking/bike path along Gulf Blvd or you can run on the beach. Make sure you get up early to see the sunrise over the ocean. It truly is an amazing sight to see. If you aren't an early riser then check out the sunset over the bay - another sight not to be missed.

When you visit the island there is so much to do. Make sure you check out Schlitterbahn Beach Water Park for a great family water park, the Island Equestrian Center for horseback riding on the beach, Sea Turtle, Inc. for an interesting tour about the sea turtles that nest on the island, Clayton's Beach Bar which is the largest outdoor bar in Texas, Louie's for bungee jumping and go-kart racing, and so much more. At our house there will be a book that provides you with a description and contact information of all of the local attractions and restaurants. Our goal is for you to not only enjoy our home, but also this wonderful city!

We enjoyed our stay in this house. It was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for cooking big family meals. Access to the beach was easy and the host was very quick to respond to questions. A baby gate at the top of the stairs would be helpful for families with little ones. We had a wonderful time with family and friends. The house is spacious, with four bedrooms that worked perfectly for both kids and adults. We truly enjoyed the common living areas, using the dining space for card games and long conversations while some of us cooked in the well-equipped kitchen.The front balcony was ideal for breakfast and morning tea, while the backyard balcony overlooking the pool was perfect for relaxed dinners and offered great privacy. The location is outstanding, just a short five-minute walk to the beach. We watched beautiful sunrises in the mornings and equally stunning sunsets in the evenings, all within walking distance.We were also lucky to have perfect weather during Christmas week, with pleasant temperatures throughout. One small enhancement that would make the stay even better would be adding beach accessories such as a cart, chairs, and boogie boards, along with a few pool toys. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would happily return on our next visit to South Padre.

We live in Harlingen which is about 45 minutes away from South Padre Island. We spend as much time as we can on the island because it is an amazing vacation spot! Every time we cross the causeway to the island we leave all of our troubles and stress behind and just relax. We have traveled to many beaches and we don't feel that there is much better than South Padre! We have been coming here every summer since 2009 and consider ourselves local. If you have any questions or concerns while you are here on your stay please feel free to contact us and we will enjoy helping you.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this home on Lantana because of the location and access to the best beach in Texas! We also have another home on the island that we rent - look for Casa Del Sol II if you need a little bit smaller home.

What makes this property unique

There are so many wonderful properties about this beach house, but the best things are that the beach access is so close and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Also, the pool was a big feature! We Love the amazing pool and beautiful backyard!
