Bayou St. John holiday lettings

We really loved our stay in Ben's house whilst in New Orleans. It was the last stop on a 2 week road trip so we were ready and grateful for all the home comforts available to us.The master bed was particularly comfortable! The house was clean and had everything you could need to be at home away from home.Ben was an excellent host and communicated quickly and effectively throughout even allowing us to drop off some food and bags before our official check in so it wasn't wasted and we could explore the city.The area has some nice restaurants and bars etc nearby too and we were told by the locals we had picked the area well.My only VERY TINY negative about the location is that, as British tourists, we are used to walking everywhere and we don't tend to drive out to bars if we intend on drinking and the Uber's into the city were pretty expensive considering it was an 8 minute journey. The walk into the city is fine though and we did that one way each day.That isn't a relfection of Ben or the property but something to be mindful of if you intend on relying on Uber's.i also left behind osmething reather sentimental and Ben and his team were very quick to find it and post it back to me. Would highly reccommend

We've stayed in many bnb's and vrbo's and have been hosts as well. This property stands well above the others. Besides it's comfort, cleanliness and provisions, it's ideally located for access to all parts of the city.

We were a family group of six adults spending ten nights on our first trip to New Orleans. There was plenty of space for us to be together or have time alone. The keypad entry system was useful as it meant we could go out separately if we wanted to do different things. The kitchen was well equipped, I have stayed in a few self catering properties and I think this was the best equipped. The dining room table was big enough for all of us to sit together for meals. A couple of nights were cold but the heating system soon warmed us up. The beds were comfortable and the living room was cosy. It was useful having two bathrooms. Although the house was a shotgun house it has been converted so there is a corridoor and each bedroom has private access. The location was quiet but it was easy to get to the French Quarter, it took us about 40 minutes to walk but we were going slowly. There are two bus routes very close by, the 91 or the 94. Andrew was always quick to communicate and gave us all the information we needed.
