A Storied Past:
The central room dates back to 1898, once part of a community garden set aside by the German Emigration Company.
In 1908, the front of the house was expanded, giving it the welcoming facade you see today.
Owned by the Hilker family from 1919 to 1971, the home was lovingly preserved until Miss Frieda, the last heir, passed away.
Relocated from San Antonio Street in 1975, the house began its new chapter as a bed and breakfast in 1977, a tradition that continues to this day.

We loved our stay here. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, and great game room. Our family had a great time playing ping pong. The hot tub was a nice way to end the evening after walking so much during the day.
Everything about this charming home was absolute perfection! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to book again for future visits.

This home was absolutely amazing! We stayed for my daughter’s 30th birthday weekend and could not have chosen a better place. It is huge, beautifully decorated, and packed with amenities. Plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy, and the location is ideal — close to everything Fredericksburg has to offer. Hosts were extremely communicative and quick to respond. Truly a five-star experience and we would 100% stay here again.
This home checked all the boxes for our family. Location was absolutely perfect!! The home was beautiful and full of charm. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious. Outdoor area with the hot tub was lovely and we enjoyed using both the hot tub and grill. Game room was a hit with the kids. Host was easy to reach and responded quickly. We had an added bonus of the home being decorated for Christmas which was so special. Would defintely recommend this home and will stay here again.
