Mauna Lani Terrace F302 - Luxury Ocean View Penthouse

The Mauna Lani Terrace is located within the world class Mauna Lani Resort. It is on the ocean and adjacent to the royal fishponds and between two beautiful white sand beaches. The water is crystal clear with one of Hawaii’s healthiest reefs, lava arches, schools of fish, and green sea turtles…a fantastic place to snorkel, stand up paddle board, kayak, scuba dive, or just relax on the beach. There is also a fitness center, restaurants at the Mauna Lani Auberge Hotel, Napua at the Beach Club, all within walking distance. We have purchased an annual membership for use at the Sports Club of Mauna Lani. Our guests have access to the lap pool, tennis courts, and pickleball courts. There is a fee for classes. The Shops at Mauna Lani is a short drive from the condo and has restaurants and a well-stocked Foodland grocery store.

Our ocean view, top floor, 1481 sq. ft. penthouse is one flight of stairs up from its covered parking space. Every room has an ocean view over the lagoon and royal fishponds. Fresh orchids decorate the unit. The kitchen and front porch look over the world class Mauna Lani golf course with views of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. You can turn off the central air and let the trade winds flow through the condo. You are on the third floor so there is no need to close up when you leave to enjoy the beach or the many beautiful sights the Big Island has to offer.

The condo is fully upgraded with tropical elegance. The living room has an expansive ocean view, a high vaulted ceiling found only in penthouse units, a large LCD TV with DVD, stereo system, and Bose surround sound. The lanai has a wet bar, large round table, chairs for relaxing, and views over the Pacific. The kitchen is fully equipped and has granite counters and a large Sub Zero refrigerator. The dining table comfortably seats six. Both master suites have ocean views, smart TV’s and DVD players, and open onto the spacious lanai. The main master suite has a king bed, marble bathroom with dual vanities, walk- in shower and a separate bathtub. The second master suite has 2 extra long twin beds that can be joined into a king. It also has a marble bathroom with a large walk-in shower.

The newly remodeled Terrace swimming pool and barbeque areas are open.

I want to live here!

This is an amazing location. The condo was perfect. Nice layout, super stocked, and excellent communication from booking to departure. The ocean and snorkeling were spectacular! We hope to return soon.

Best Stay Ever!

We were surprised how spacious the place was. The view was better than the pictures. The location of the condo was convenient to shopping, snorkel rentals, beach, grocery stores and restaurants. The condo had a book with recommendations for anything and everything you want to do. We would definitely rent and stay there again.

Perfection on the big island!

We could not recommend Lauren's property enough! It was sparkling clean when we arrived and just a beautiful layout...perfect for our family of 4. The views from the condo are peaceful and beautiful and the balcony is such a great place to hang out and relax. The location was convenient to several beaches, restaurants and amenities. We used the fitness center, tennis courts and also golfed on property...all amenities were wonderful. Lauren gave me so much information ahead of our visit and was so willing to help in any way. Would absolutely stay again...a beautiful home away from home!

Perfect family paradise

Lauren is the consummate hostess - incredible communicator, wonderful hospitality (fresh fruit and coffee welcomed us) and so knowledgeable about ways to enjoy an ideal stay at the Mauna Lani Terraces. Loved being able to walk to multiple beaches, the ease of enjoying the adjacent hotel’s restaurants and events, being perched above the historic fishponds and just the incredible view every day. Lovely condo, my husband and I along with our two school aged kiddos wanted to stay indefinitely. Thank you, Lauren! ❤️🌺🏝️

Perfect Condo

My family of four which includes two girls ages 9 and 13 stayed for ten nights. The unit is beautifully maintained and furnished and well stocked. The bath soap, shampoo and conditioner provided are awesome.. !! The owners provided great information and instructions for arrival and many helpful hints while we were on the island. There were beach towels and snorkel gear provided which was great and we enjoyed snorkeling at the beach club..really good snorkeling for right off the beach! The restaurant at the Beach Club is phenomenal! The location is ideal for exploring the Hawaii. I highly reccommend this property and would definately stay there again when we go back to the big Island

Simply the Best

I hesitate to even write this because I don't want word to get out! We have stayed in a number of VRBO properties, but never one as well equipped as this. Not a single detail is overlooked and the condo is spotless. It is decorated beautifully and well laid out. You will not need to worry about paper towels, ziploc bags, shampoo, dish soap, or anything else. This was a perfect place for our family of four to enjoy a fantastic vacation. Lauren should teach a course on how to prepare your vacation home for rental. We hope to return as often as possible.

Love it Here!!

My family has stayed at this specific condo numerous times over the years. It feels like our home away from home. It is well stocked with most of what you need (with the exception of groceries - but even some of those were there upon arrival). The beds are super comfortable, plenty of pillows, blankets, towels, beach supplies.. This is such a peaceful, beautiful, special place, if you get the chance to stay here, you are fortunate, as we always feel when we come. Lauren has excellent communication and is knowledgeable about the area. Some of the best snorkeling and sand beaches are just a short walk away. Added bonus - her DVD collection is great for evenings at home. As is having a washer and dryer with everything you need and beach club access. I could go on and on about all the wonderful amenities. Can't wait to come again!

Luxurious Flat in Excellent Location

We loved stayed at this wonderful penthouse flat with an ocean view! The owner was very communicative, friendly, and open to questions about activities. She even had fresh fruit for us upon arrival! The flat is clean and comfortable with a fabulous deck that spans the length of the entire apartment and looks over a fish pond. The location is excellent—it's a short walk to both the historic fish ponds and to Beach Club Beach (a white sand beach with amazing snorkeling and good swimming). There are several places to eat (or get cocktails and ice cream) nearby. The condo is up 2 flights of stairs, which was not a problem for us, but might be a consideration for some. Parking for one car is close by. If you're looking for resort amenities along with the comfort and privacy of your own place, this is it!

Perfection from start to finish!

There was simply nothing I could critique about the property or the owner. The unit was by far the best outfitted unit I've rented. There were plenty of towels, soap, paper towels -- everything. The kitchen was stocked just like my own. The beds were incredibly comfortable, with plenty of extra blankets. The owner instructions were detailed and thoughtful. Which brings me to the owner -- I chose this unit over others because fellow travelers commented on Lauren in their reviews. I second it all! She was helpful, thoughtful and kind. Lauren was patient with my questions and made me feel like I was staying at a friend's home rather than a VRBO condo. From start to finish, this property and owner were wonderful!

The location at Mauna Lani is outstanding. Dining and a grocery store are close by.It is a gated complex, so it is a bit tricky (but doable) to use Uber versus car rental.Unit up one flight of stairs from parking, no elevators.Living room and lanai are spacious, with postcard view of the ocean and fish ponds.The furniture and cabinetry are of high quality. There were plenty of books and DVDs. The wifi worked well while we were there. The kitchen is complete, well thought out, good appliances, and very well stocked.The bedrooms and baths are large, with separate lanais for morning coffee.The host is quite friendly, informative and attentive, without being intrusive.We would definitely look forward to coming back here.

This condo was perfect for a Hawaiian getaway with my husband and daughters (ages 5 and 7). It was spacious, beautifully decorated, had everything we needed, and was impeccably clean. The views and the location were fantastic. We made lots of use of the on-site pool and the adjacent beach club. Lauren was a very responsive, thorough, and helpful host. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Absolutely Incredible!

We spent five amazing nights at this condo. First, I am picky and spent a lot of time looking for the right place. This was definitely it! The pictures don’t do it justice though they are accurate. Not only is it in a fantastic and central location with wonderful views right from the lanai, it was also spotlessly clean and even nicer and more spacious than the photos appear. The kitchen is better stocked than my kitchen at home, beds are comfy, and the entire condo is very tastefully decorated in classic Hawaiian decor. Everything was well maintained and you need not worry about little things like ziploc bags, having enough paper towels and tissue, etc. We highly recommend this condo and it’s lovely owners for your Hawaii stay!

The property is well located in the Muana Lani resort, short walk to beach and some of the best snorkeling on the island. Apartment is beautifully decorated with Balinese inspired furniture. High end appliances including washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, range and double oven. Beach towels, umbrella and beach chairs available from owner. Owner is member of beach club which is key. Beds are very comfortable, plenty of showers, all en-suite. Incredible views. Spacious two bedroom apartment is one flight up (third floor view due to sloping topography) Three great restaurants in walking distance, or a short drive.

Fantastic Stay

What is there to say that hasn't already been said? We loved the condo, loved the location, loved the amenities and Lauren is a host extraordinaire! She provides a comprehensive guide to the unit and the surrounding areas but is also very well versed in the rest of the island so just ask if you have questions. We greatly enjoyed the relaxed nature of the Terraces community while still having access to the resort beaches (property beach and 49 Black Sand). We enjoyed using one of the 2 Grill and Go stations and never had to wait (though one might want to make a reservation for one of the bbq spaces just to be safe if you are on a schedule). The pool area looked nice and inviting. The unit itself was beyond well stocked with almost everything one might need while there. Cannot recommend this unit highly enough, especially when you factor in Lauren's no BS pricing (you pay the daily rate, taxes and VRBO fees and that's it - not a bunch of other stupid add-ons for cleaning, a linen fee, manager's fee, any additional guest more than 2 when it sleeps 4 or 6 or more fee, etc.). This was our first time staying in this area on Hawaii and we will be back again for sure. Thank you again Lauren!

Gorgeous place, great communication

Wow. This place has it all: beautiful views, splendid decorating, wonderful communication. The condo had everything you could desire: a full well-stocked kitchen, comfy furniture, games, gear… and amazing location. Lauren was super easy to reach and deal with. This was a first class trip all the way. We definitely plan to return as soon as we can!

Lauren & Brad Greider live in North San Diego County. We love to scuba dive in remote areas that are usually very difficult to get to. We discovered the ocean at the Mauna Lani and all that it has to offer. There is so much to see snorkeling from the time we step into the water to the distant reefs. The Big Island is beautiful and magical and a very short flight from the mainland. We all love the water and wanted to create a tropical home away from home. We are happy to share this Aloha with our guests.

Why they chose this property

The Terrace has the unique beauty of being on the ocean and the ancient fish ponds. Makaiwa Bay has the best snorkeling we have found on the island. The Beach Club provides safe easy access to this protected bay. The Terrace is also beautifully landscaped with mature trees. There is plenty of shade and fresh ocean breezes. Sleeping turtles can be seen on the beaches in the late afternoon.

What makes this property unique

Our condo has a unique island feel. The vaulted ceiling in the great room is hand painted. The walls are textured. The top floor provides privacy, security and a beautiful view. We have windows in the front of the unit which allows the fresh ocean breezes and trade winds to flow through the unit. We are also up only one flight of stairs from the parking level. The Mauna Lani Auberge Hotel, the Golf Club, The Fitness Club, The Beach Club and Napua, the restaurant at the Beach Club are all in walking distance. You can stroll to the two beautiful white sand beaches, through lava fields with petroglyphs, or through the fish ponds.
