Feel your stress melt away as you take in the majestic mountains surrounding our edge of town retreat in the quaint old mining town of Crested Butte!

Our location is ideally situated just steps away from world-class hiking, biking and Nordic trails and only four blocks away from the popular West-Elk retail/restaurant district. The shuttle stop is a short walk away with free service to Mt. Crested Butte.
This house was purchased in the Summer of 2013. In September 2013 we installed new Bosch appliances in the kitchen. We also have 4-5 bicycles for you to enjoy the town and weather and to take in the sights.

The bedrooms sleep 10: The large downstairs master has a king, a private bath and an adjoining sun room with indoor hot tub. Main floor has two bedrooms: #1 has a queen with room for a pack-n-play (which we have for your use if needed). Bedroom #2 is a small bunk room. It has a twin over full bunk w/twin trundle. Upstairs is a large bedroom w/ a queen bed and lots of floor space for sleeping bags, air mattress, etc.

The views from the kitchen and living room windows are magnificent and the location is one of the best in town! This house is at the West end of Butte Avenue which is a relatively quiet and secluded spot, even during peak season. You are literally only yards away from Nordic ski trails, hiking and biking trails. Although the location is nice and quiet, you are still only a few blocks from the 'bustling' downtown of Crested Butte! The locals feel that the NW portion of Crested Butte, specifically including Butte Ave, is probably the most desirable place to be in town, and you will see why after staying here for a few days.

Trailhead Children's Museum and Center for the Arts are also worth visiting. This house is owned by a family of 6 from Edmond, OK. This photo was taken after one of our many walks to The Third Bowl for ice cream on a summer afternoon! If you haven't visited Crested Butte, you really owe it to yourself to come for a visit. If you've already been here, you're already convinced!

Why they chose this property

CB is known to many as 'The Last Great Ski Town,' 'The End of the Road' and 'Paradise' by locals, and it lives up to all of those descriptions! It is also the "Wildflower Capital of Colorado," and aptly named. We chose this property because of its fantastic location on quiet Butte Avenue as well as very close proximity to hiking and biking trails, cross-country skiing, and downtown Crested Butte.

We are leaving our double bike trailer in the garage so you can either pull your kids to town or load it with your groceries so you don't need to drive to the store. There are also several other child/baby accessories to make things easier and more enjoyable during your stay. Five bicycles included!

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with this home because of the amazing mountain views! The house is charming and somewhat unique in CB with a bit of a Southwest flair. Mexican tile, blue tile kitchen counter tops, and a Southwest-style living room area rug all give it a unique ambiance. The house has a beautiful vaulted family room ceiling. There are wood beams and wood accents throughout the house, especially in the living area. On chilly Colorado summer mornings I sometimes turn on the in-floor heater and it warms up the floor & room quickly. Take advantage of the five bicycles included with this house for your use! Crested Butte is only about 10 square blocks in size, so you can ride (or walk) from one side of town to the other in just a few minutes!
