This was a great house and spot for 3 couples coming to Asheville for a weekend full of Western North Carolina mountain time. It had everything we needed.

Great place!
We rented this house for a girl's weekend trip and it was perfect! Very clean and close to everything. The owner was extremely nice and thoughtful. The house is very close to West Asheville and just a short 10 minute drive to the heart of Asheville.. I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family!
If you like food and trees and quiet and Asheville and food, oh, right, mentioned that already, this is the house to stay. So many places to sit, eat, talk, listen—the back deck, the dining table, the living room, the front dining room/porch, and the chairs around the huge marshmallow-roasting firepit out front—and then when you want to sit anywhere in West Asheville, downtown Asheville, at the Arboretum, for coffee, for food, for leaf-watching, so many choices. (And everything in the house works, everything you need is supplied—ok, maybe could use a better potato peeler and/or a scrubber-sponge that will work for veg. and dishes) Definitely a house (and secluded location, yet so close to everything) to stay again!
We enjoyed the lovely setting. We were unable to connect to Netflicks because too many people were using the account. TV needs an upgrade for interfacing. The hot tub bleached the bathing suits with just a couple uses. Black mold in master bath needs to be addressed. Drain in bath tub was very difficult to operate. Would rent again but would like the above issues addressed first.
Good little place in west Asheville. Well stocked kitchen and very welcoming back porch overlooking the forest. Wild turkeys and deer welcomed us. The master bed was not comfortable, but the baths were updated and very relaxing. Recommend for a short stay in fabulous Asheville.
We absolutely LOVED our stay here!! The house was comfortable in every respect...beds, linens, furniture, water pressure, lighting, air conditioning, etc. It was perfectly zenful. Thank you for allowing us to stay here!
Great cottage. Just what one needs for a private, close to everything stay.

Great Place!
This house was perfect!!! No detail was forgotten. The beds were super comfortable and there were black out curtains in all the rooms. It is in a great location and Michael was VERY accommodating. My husband accidentally left his wedding band in the bedroom and Michael contacted me and mailed it to us. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

2nd Stay As Good As The First
It’s rare something is as good as the second time around, but fortunately I can say this is 100% the case for this rental! This was our 2nd New Years in Asheville at this rental, and it was great. It was just as clean, comfortable and inviting (maybe even more so with some new outdoor chairs!) as our stay last year. I would HIGHLY recommend this for your next trip to Asheville - except New Years 2019 though if we want it again!

A magical place to celebrate Christmas with family
The rain finally stopped the day before Christmas Eve and we were able to gather by the fire, sing carols and share memories of Christmas past and goals for 2019. The stars were amazingly bright and the sky was clear. We had everything in the kitchen we needed to enjoy the family’s talented chefs and room to spread out for our poetry slam! Our time was too short but incredibly sweet! Mike was super helpful providing us with suggestions on local restaurants and a butcher for our traditional Christmas Dinner to a yoga studio - he’s actually from Asheville! (The turkey and deer sightings were a unexpected surprise).

A great hideaway in W Asheville
We had a wonderful experience staying here. The house was perfect and the hot tub was a fantastic way to wind down each evening. We had the privilege of meeting Michael when we departed and are excited to return to one of his Asheville properties in the near future.

Great Location
House was perfect for (3) couples, nicely updated, great outdoor space and felt secluded yet close to everything Asheville has to offer. House was tastefully furnished, well equipped kitchen, linens provided and enjoyed the hot tub while it snowed! Owner was a great host and we look forward to staying again in the near future.

Great Place, Great Location
Five of us stayed for four nights and couldn't be happier, it will be our go to place whenever we visit Asheville. It's perfectly located, the Hot Tub is a great bonus and we took full advantage of the Fire Pit out front. No negatives whatsoever, highly recommend

Great! Very homey!
We loved our stay here. It was clean and comfortable and the hot tub was very very nice! We had some trouble getting the dishwasher to run, as well as locating the trash and recycling bins but once those were figured out, everything else went perfectly. We would definitely stay here again! The driveway is very steep so leaving, we all scraped the bottom of the front bumpers on our car so if you care a lot about that, this wouldn't be the best fit for you!

Amazingly peaceful minutes from everything
Our group loved this cabin! It was perfect for a weekend away. You feel like your deep in the mountains despite the close neighbors, but you’re mere minutes from most of Asheville’s best breweries and downtown shopping. The living area, dining space and game table were great. This was the cleaniest rental I’ve experienced with ample cooking supplies for anything we needed. The towels and sheets all were of a higher grade. I’ll be recommending this for anyone looking for a place in Asheville! We hope to stay here again!

Asheville Weekend Getaway
Awesome place, we had three couples come for a weekend visit and it was comfortable for all of us. We also had deer visit us everyday in the back yard. It was only a 10-15 minute drive to all the places that we visited and there was plenty of Uber’s and lyfts available and only took a couple of minutes to arrive. The host was extremely accommodating and responded very quickly to all our questions and requests.

About the host
Hosted by Michael Patton
This is our family. My mother and I still live close to this cottage and the others have moved off. We all grew up in Asheville. I am a Builder/Contractor and my mother sales Real Estate.
Why they chose this property
We grew up on the property where this house is located. The kids that moved away would bring their families back and there were so many of us we needed room to stay. This cottage was the 'overflow' house. As their families got older the stays were shorter. We decided to share our lovely location here on VRBO.
What makes this property unique
Location and privacy just scratch the surface as to why you should stay here. No other place can offer the feeling of privacy and escape when in all actuality you are minutes from everything. Downtown is 4.5 miles away. Fantastic West Asheville is 1 mile away. The Biltmore House is 6 miles away. Bent Creek for hiking, biking and swimming is also 6 miles. We have added all we could think of to make your stay comfortable and refreshing. We are on 9 acres most of which are wooded. The private back deck looks off into the woods and makes for a wonderful place to grill, eat, sip coffee, chat or pretty much anything.
