This home is an easy 75 mile drive from Portland, 17 miles south of historic Astoria, 12 minutes north of charming Cannon beach, and 25 minutes from Manzanita.

This wonderful 1938 Cape Cod style cottage, has been totally updated. 4 bedrooms and 2 ½ bath located in the quite Cove neighborhood of Seaside.

Just a stone's throw from the beach for surfing, clamming, fishing, or beach combing. Seaside Public Golf course a few blocks from the house.

The main room has a beautiful vaulted ceiling and majestic river rock fire place. This room has a 42' flat panel TV, , CableTV, and WI-FI. A very large dinning room table seats 10 guests.

The fully equipped , well stocked kitchen is perfect for cooking up a gourmet family meal. Eat in kitchen table with direct access to the large deck with a propane gas grill, and fire pit below! 2outdoor tables for eating plus plenty of deck chairs.

The roomy master bedroom has a queen sized bed, bathroom with tub and shower with patio door access to a private area on the deck.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed, large window, bunkbeds with trundle bed, sleeps 3, and a TV

The upstairs bedroom is very open and spacious. There is a queen bed, cableTV with powder room with toilet and sink.

The fourth bedroom off the living room is small but cozy with a double futon bed.

Ample parking in the back of the house with car port and room for four cars.

There is so much more to this wonderful home which will make your vacation a wonderful experience! The theme throughout is one that lets you know you are at the beach along with sounds of the pounding surf from the Pacific Ocean across the street.

Downtown is about a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute walk from the South end of the Promenade. This home is great for families, or couples who want a quiet relaxing vacation at the coast. Seaside Golf Course, Corner market, a pub, and coffee place are all within easy walking distance.

Outlet mall shopping, historic sites, miniture golf, go carts and amusements rides can be found just up the road in downtown Seaside.
Large Safeway is 3 minutes north on 101.

Another Great Stay!

This is our second year staying in this lovely home and it was just as great as we remembered. Plenty of space, comfortable, clean, and the location can't be beat. We love being able to walk into town and avoid the traffic/parking issues, especially during the adorable Corgi Beach Takeover day! We will definitely be back!

2 Families for Beach Volleyball Tourney

The house was great, enough room for all 8 of us comfortably to eat dinner, play a game or watch a movie together. Painted rock beach was so fun and a close walk. The fire pit was nice & firewood on hand was a bonus!

Family reunion

We had a great time at the property. Very close to the beach, which was great for the older kids to walk down to. I very short, even walking distance to downtown seaside. Owner was great and checked in with us and accommadated an early check in.

Seaside Vacation

Fantastic House with Amazing Location

This is the second year our family has stayed at this property and the second visit was just a great as the first! The house is well stocked and has plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The location is perfect as the beach is steps out the front door and amenities like restaurants and a grocery store are just a 5 minute walk. Great communication with property owner as well. We highly recommend and look forward to staying here again next year!

Spring Break Getaway

Stayed the weekend 3/29 through 3/31. Very clean house, and efficient use of space, with a 2 minute walk to the beach. Comfortably accomodated 10 of us (9 adults and 1 child.) The hosts were very responsive to any messages. I would definitely stay here again.

Great property, short walk to beach, excellent host.

This property is very nice and clean and in a great location. There’s a short walk out to the beach and a short drive to the downtown Seaside promenade. Melanie is a great host and very communicative. She’s quick to respond to any questions or concerns and is very flexible with the needs/requests of guests. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

Perfect Location!!

We absolutely love staying in this beautiful home. Very tasteful decorated and very clean. We love that it accommodated big group plenty of utensils, dining chairs, patio chairs outside. It is a well stocked home with everything that you need. Homeowners are super nice and pleasant. And the location is within walking distance to the beach. The beds were comfortable and enough to accommodate our big family. Looking forward to staying here again!!

Lots of memories and laughs created here❤️

Great house to accommodate a large group. Beautifully decorated home. We found that there wasn’t much we needed that wasn’t available to use. Location was perfect. The large deck is a great extension of the house. We built a fire outside - roasted marshmallows and watched a movie sitting around the fire!!! Great memories created with four generations!!! Thankful for having chosen this place. Thank you.

Great beach house in south Seaside

We loved this home! It had plenty of space for two families of 5. We especially enjoyed the quick walk to the beach and town. The home is confidante and well-stocked for meal prep. The only thing that was difficult for us was that two of the beds upstairs have extremely firm mattresses that were difficult to sleep on. I ended up sleeping on the couch a couple nights because the mattress was too hard on my back. Other than that, everything was perfect and we'd definitely stay here again!

Excellent get away

My husband and I wanted to have a vacation with his grown sons and their families. We chose this property because of the proximity to the beach and number of rooms. We ended up only having three other people staying with us - two adults and the baby. Our other family only stopped by for a day with their two kids but the place was fantastic. Clean, comfy and well appointed with enough space for all of us to have a meal together and hang out on the deck. Close to the beach so the kids could explore. There were helpful flyers detailing local attractions and restaurants. Our host was very communicative and helpful. We had lots of time to unwind and enjoy the experience with the kids. Thanks for sharing your beach home with us!

Fantastic!

This house was perfect for our family getaway over Thanksgiving. Everything was exactly as advertised and there was plenty of space for everyone to spend time together comfortably. The beach is literally across the street and the well stocked kitchen was perfect for our Thanksgiving prep. We’re already planning on returning next year!

Relaxing Seaside

We choose Seaside and the property because of its location to Cannon Beach and it could accommodate my wife & I and 4 adult children. The property was well appointed and very comfortable. Before booking I exchange messages with Melanie to understand the layout so the children had their own space. The house was as described. The rental was a good walk away from the main centre of Seaside and was very quiet. Having had a stressful year this was the tonic we needed. Before we arrived the oven broke and Melanie dropped us a message to inform us when it would be fixed. Not having the oven was not an issue and it was fixed shortly after our arrival. Melanie kept us informed. We have stayed at many holiday rentals and this house exceeded our expectations.

Great place to stay at the coast!

My family has been going to Seaside for over 40 years and this was our first time staying at this property. We had a great time and enjoyed the house so much. There is a big deck that shielded the wind, a fun firepit in the back for smores and a quick walk to the beach. Melanie was attentive and our check in and check out were very simple 5 out of 5 stars for sure!

Let's Relax

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The location was ideal for both beach fun and other entertainment. The house was clean and comfortable upon arriving. The owner welcomed me and stayed in contact throughout our stay. The sunsets, smores and just overall love was experienced throughout our stay. If I had to critique anything, it would be that the master and room off of the living room had a more comfortable mattresses. Other than that I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a Seaside getaway

Wonderful family vacation at the beach

We all had fantastic time, grandkids, parents, grandparents. This home is beautiful, large and so well stocked. The giant living room, comfy couch and large table worked out great, lots bedrooms, the girls loved the bunk beds and trundle. So handy being so near the beach, and a plus not being in the middle of town where the beach was crowded. We loved sitting around the fire pit and bbq also. I could go on and on about this house, we hope to stay here again on our next trip to Seaside!!

We live in SW Portland. We have a busy lifestyle that includes family with grandchildren, friends, cooking, enjoying great wine, fishing, and relaxing. With our free time we are usually at the beach, gardening or looking for treasures at estate sales.

Why they chose this property

We love the Oregon coast. A place you can visit anytime of the year. After years of renting and looking for a place of our own we discoverd the Cove area of Seaside. We have many amazing memories of friends and family at the Oregon coast. With two married daughters and 6 grandchildren ,we wanted to start a beach traditional for the next generation. Plus there is so much to do in and around Seaside.
Our house is located in the quiet south end (The Cove) of Seaside with minimal traffic yet it is walkable to the center of town. We often walk along the Promenade or beach to dinner or shopping, even in the winter. A few blocks south you can watch the surfers and fisherman while enjoying a cup of coffee. The weather is mild year round.

What makes this property unique

We looked at many homes along the coast and in this area. When we first saw the house with the unique charm of a 1930's beach cottage we got excited. Then we walked in and saw the huge fireplace in the living room, we were sold! We totally refurbished the house updating electrical,totally new bathrooms, and installing a new deck. All the rooms have been updated, painted with newer furniture, and new mattresses in every room.
