Wonderful, huge, fun place to stay. Incredible attention to detail, with virtually every room containing items from the world of Harry Potter.

It has potential as Harry Potter theme was quite unique. But, several items needed attention or were not as advertised: mouse in basement and was seen and heard throughout stay; kitchen is not “fully equipped”: no cutting boards, no dish towels, no dustpan, no spices or oil not even salt/pepper. Listed as “fully equipped” Kitchen plates Were on shelf But several plates had dried food on them. Several kitchen drawers wereDirty. Upstairs bathtub/shower non-functional:shower didn’t work and tub didn’t hold water; instructed to reset escape room by using website but website didn’t have the instructions. Took owner several hours to remedy which greatly impacted the enjoyment of the escape room. Basement bedrooms very cold with no extraBlankets. Several bathrooms had no hand soap. Bring your own shower toiletries-either overlooked that or it wasn’t stated. For the cost of the stay, we were quite disappointed. While the owner was initially responsive when contacted, I didn’t feel that he took my concerns seriously except for the escape room which took him several hours to finally remedy.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad you recognized the uniqueness and creativity of the wizard-themed experience, which is something our guests consistently highlight and enjoy. That said, we’d like to gently clarify a few points for future travelers reading this review. Our property is professionally cleaned and inspected before every stay. We do not have an ongoing rodent issue, and no evidence of mice was found before or after this visit. Given the home’s wooded setting occasionally scabbers make his way in if summoned by the Dark but the interior of the home is regularly monitored and maintained by the ministry. Regarding the kitchen: it is accurately listed as fully equipped for cooking and group meals. Items to cook with are not included and clearly noted in all communication. The upstairs shower was fully operational. The issue encountered was due to the diverter not being engaged correctly—a common user-operation item rather than a mechanical failure. Once clarified, the shower functioned as designed. For the escape room, instructions are clearly provided both on-site and digitally. We responded promptly and worked through the reset process to ensure it was fully restored. While this did require some troubleshooting time, it was resolved during the stay and is not a recurring issue. Extra blankets, hand soap, and starter toiletries are available upon request and are also noted in our listing details. As with many large, immersive pro
