About this property

Mountain Stay Under Open Skies

Winter glamping at Manzano Mountain Retreat is an adventure in simplicity. Cold nights, crisp mornings, and open skies make for a peaceful, grounding escape. Dress warmly, slow down, and experience the quiet wonder of nature in her winter form

Nestled in the heart of New Mexico’s Manzano Mountains, the Pinetop Glamping Tent at Manzano Mountain Retreat is where rustic adventure meets modern comfort. Our 140-acre retreat of orchards, meadows, and pine forest invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and enjoy the simple beauty of nature.

Your private tent is designed with comfort in mind. Inside you’ll find:

- 1 queen bed + 1 twin bunk bed with soft linens and duvets
- Air conditioning & heating for year-round comfort
- Mini-fridge & coffee machine for drinks and morning coffee
- Power outlets & lighting throughout
- Fresh towels provided for every guest
- Outdoor seating for relaxing under the open skies

Wake to crisp mountain air, birdsong, and the scent of Ponderosa pines. Families love meeting our miniature donkeys, Highland cows, peacocks, and ponies, while couples discover quiet corners among the orchards and trails. Adventurers head into the Cibola National Forest or visit the historic Quarai Ruins, while others spend their days swimming, reading by the firepit, or simply stargazing at night.

Dining is part of the experience. Weekends feature a hearty breakfast buffet in our dining hall, weekdays bring fresh made-to-order meals, and our Mercantile offers snacks, drinks, and grab-and-go items daily. In the fall, the orchards come alive with harvest traditions, cider pressing, and our much-loved apple cider donuts.

What makes Pinetop special isn’t just the mountains and orchards — it’s the atmosphere. Guests say they leave feeling lighter, more connected, and full of lasting memories. Children enjoy the freedom to explore, couples reconnect beneath starry skies, and friends trade screens for stories around the fire.

Whether you’re here for a family getaway, a romantic weekend, or a quiet retreat, the welcome is genuine, the pace is unhurried, and the mountains offer a calm that stays with you long after you leave.

Highlights:

- Heritage apple orchards with seasonal cider events
- Friendly farm animals on site
- Trails, meadows, stargazing, and mountain views
- Onsite dining and Mercantile shop
- Pool, fitness center, basketball and volleyball courts (seasonal)
- Year-round beauty: summer shade, fall colors, winter snow, spring blossoms

The staff is kind and so helpful. They were available at anytime and checked in on us. We loved seeing the animals and walking around the beautiful property.
