As we are in the mountains we do have some steep driveways but with that being said our housekeepers and inspectors have no trouble getting in or out of the homes. We wished you would of called our office about the blanket and we could of brought you another one out. And since you mentioned the bed in the basement we can send someone out to see why it needs replaced and speak with the home owners. So that future Guests are not discouraged by your comment, we have rented the home literally hundreds of times since 2017 and never had any incidents with the driveway. Because Lake Lure is built on a dammed-up gorge, many of our homes around the lake have sloping driveways. It's certainly not unique to this home. Once you go in and out one time, it's not too scary. Hi Michael: Thank you for the review. Yes, the summer foliage does block the view. You were here in mid July, when the foliage is at its absolute thickest. That is why the listing for the home stresses that it has seasonal fall / winter views, when there are not leaves on the trees.
