Gorgeous private retreat

Inner Harbor was just what we were looking for. Private and great location for what we like to do. Comfortable and clean. Loved the fireplace and that wood was provided. Sunsets on the cove and the stars were a bonus. Hope to return. Highly recommend.

Sprawling, beautiful home for a big family gathering on the water

Inner Harbor Retreat is a fabulous, classy, classic-Maine place for family gatherings. There is a kids room with four beds and lots of toys and three more large bedrooms oriented toward the water…each with its own bathroom. The living spaces are super attractive…with window seats, a great, well-stocked kitchen, a porch-like sunroom and three places to eat! The waterfront is just down from the deck and is accessed by several paths and the garden is gorgeous. This house is well-loved and we felt very lucky to be there for two special weeks.

Inner Harbor Retreat exceeded our expectations.

This property was perfect for our family group of eight -- four bedrooms, four bathrooms, ample public and private spaces for gatherings, games and an occasional book, spacious and well-stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, quality linens and towels (decoratively displayed when we arrived!). The grounds were special as well -- the hammock overlooking the cove, the Adirondack chairs, the gardens (spectacular!), and the easy access to the water for kayaking (we rented two for the week) and swimming. We've been coming to Deer Isle and Stonington for years to see family on Deer Isle and the group consensus is that this is one of the best places we've ever rented. We look forward to returning and making more memories in this beautiful home next year.

Another wonderful stay

The Inner Harbor Retreat is a joy to stay in. We have stayed there for multiple weeks in the last few years. It's nice and big with lots of space and privacy for family with a nice kitchen, living room, and deck to gather. The kitchen is well stocked which leads to great family meals. The waterfront is spectacular. We find that we don't leave the house much because there is so much to do on the property even if it rains. It is a very special place and 100% Maine.

A fevered dream!!

This place was like a story book. My 13 year described it as a fevered dream, it didn’t seem real. Everything about area was magical. The home was spacious, yet cozy, clean and extremely welled stocked kitchen. Coffee from 44 North is a must!! I am already dreaming about coming back!

A Perfect Maine Retreat

This property is even better in person than the pictures suggest! Beautiful home. Two primary bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. A third bedroom with bath across the hall and the Loft area is perfect for singles, kids, etc with its own bath at foot of stairs. The kitchen is very well equipped and the living room has a great stone fireplace. The property is simply gorgeous and exactly what you’d hope for in Maine…lots of trees, a rocky coastline to sit on and watch the sunsets, even a small island to walk to at low tide. The drive in to the property is picturesque with deer and wild turkeys along the roughly 3 miles from the main road. It’s also conveniently close to Stonington. Our family looks forward to returning next year!

We had a spectacular time

The house is spacious and full of light, with lovely views down to the water between the spruce trees. In the early morning you can watch the sunlight move through them on its way to the water below. The bedrooms all look toward the water as well, and there's a fine deck for al fresco meals. The setting is entirely private, and it's very quiet--just the seagulls, and the occasional kayakers dipping their paddles. There's no actual beach, but plenty of big comfortable rocks to sit on. The water is cold (!). The kitchen is well-equipped, easy for team cooking. It has a skylight so, like the rest of the house, it feels open to the surroundings. There's also a very pretty garden, but we mostly sat on the deck or near the water. We had a wonderful week there; it's a place where it's easy both to gather together and to have private space. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Tyler point cottage is a magical place worth every cent. The views are absolutely beautiful. The grounds are endlessly exploitable. I would return here at my earliest possible convenience.
