Thanksgiving in Blowing Rock

I will try to be brief. I got exactly what i expected and it was great! We enjoyed the pool, ate from the restaurant, used the kitchen to prepare a Thanksgiving feast for just the 4 of us, and got to see the lights around the lake. The microwave didn't work when we arrived, but the owner was on it! I casually mentioned that it wasn't working. Maintenance was contacted and on Thanksgiving day they came to check it out. I expected nothing (being a holiday and all). They couldn't fix it but stopped by with a new countertop microwave to tie us over. The first of many untraditional holiday celebrations! We are off to a wonderful start.
