The A/C does not work on the second floor and we spent hours trying to call and get it fixed. One technician said he was familiar with that unit and it was known to have issues. They host owners finally sent someone else out and after 5 minutes told us the second floor had been bypassed due to some issues and we wouldn’t be getting any air. 2 of the 4 bedrooms are on the second floor. We were told we would get compensated for the troubles but that didn’t happen
Excellent location. Steps form the pool. For a large group the seating downstairs was adequate and comfortable. Whole unit was clean and very comfortable. Would book here again. Excellent location and host
Great location, house could use some furniture upgrades and floors were not cleaned well. Also vacuum and broom supplied were not affective in cleaning the floors.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the location and appreciate your notes about the furniture and cleanliness. We’ve addressed the housekeeping concerns with our team and will be replacing the vacuum and broom to ensure guests have what they need for a comfortable stay. Your input helps us improve, and we hope to host you again in the future.
Our family vacation at this vacation rental was memorable. It was sad to leave this place but we will definitely come back again. This home’s proximity to pools, restaurants and beach was so convenient especially with our families with kids!
Listing should specify that you are not able to access all of the wild dunes amenities (gym, other pools, pool towels, shuttle service etc)

We absolutely love this location. Great rental, had issue with the AC and the rental company fixed quickly. Also, all of the bathrooms were updated this year, which was a nice surprise. Cannot recommend enough!
126GP and 128GP were a great location for our requirements. Unfortunately too many steps for some of us. Our next visit we will try to avoid this. Isle of Palms is a great location for our family.
We had a lovely stay here for a girls’ weekend for a 50th birthday.
The location is wonderful, within the Wild Dunes resort. The bedroom arrangements were perfect for 5-6 adults, with two King masters with their own bathroom. Note the master with the large tub is on the third floor (with an additional flight of steps to get from the car port to the first floor). I have mobility issues and didn’t ask about the stair situation before booking.
Other than the decor needing updating a good bit, the home was perfect for us!
Almost great except poor response to non functional bathroom
Lovely place, perfect location. The only issue we had was that one of the toilets didn’t work - it leaked when flushed. With eight women staying there, we really needed all bathrooms functioning. When we called to report the issue on Friday afternoon, we were told no one could come fix it until sometime next week. They could have made this a 5-star review if they had sent someone to fix the toilet. Instead people had to wake up others in the group to use their bathroom during the night.

Girls Weekend
Booked this unit for a long girls weekend with my book club. While the house could comfortably sleep 12, the space and furnishings could not accommodate that number. The bathrooms were beautifully updated. The beds were very comfortable; the pillows were not. The kitchen is in need of a makeover. Being more than a bit dated wasn’t a problem, but the fact that the kitchen was ill equipped did cause some problems. Among other issues the plates were chipped and cracked and many were not microwave, there weren’t any potholders, we didn’t have enough wine glasses, steak knives, etc, etc. After seeing the updates made to the bathrooms, I believe the kitchen will probably see improvements in the future, but a 100-200 trip to Walmart in the interim would make a huge difference to current guests.

Third stay at this property, and the most challenging. Check-in was a breeze, and we were able to get access early without having to do anything. They texted me the parking passes the week before, so I printed at home - which was awesome! The first night we realized that the pillows had been replaced with tiny, old worn out polyfill pillows. The previous pillows were awesome, in fact I ordered the same pillows for my home because we loved them so much. The sheets were so worn out that they wouldn't stay on the mattress (felt like burlap) because they were so worn. I get it, that happens over time. I texted Vacasa and the local property manager, Lisa Wagner got new sheets delivered within 48 hours. (Thank you, Lisa!! You were amazing!) The rest of the communication was spotty via text. Lisa was the only one who identified herself and it was apparent that different people were responding - which is totally fine….except for when its an ongoing issue and you have to reexplain yourself and we had several random issues. Wild Dunes has implemented a chipped bracelet policy, but the unit only had 4. There were plenty of rubber bands with no chip, so you had to rely on others to let you in to the Pavillion and pool areas. I understand that this is a resort failing, but we had 7 adults who could not go anywhere without needing a buddy. It was extremely frustrating. I wish we would have known that before we booked. Great location, but be patience.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We truly appreciate your loyalty as a returning guest and are glad to hear that your check-in went smoothly and that you found the parking pass process convenient. We are sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with the pillows and sheets. It’s wonderful that Lisa was able to promptly assist with fresh sheets, and we will be sure to pass along your kind words to her. We also appreciate your understanding regarding the wear and tear of linens over time. Regarding the communication challenges and the chipped bracelet situation at Wild Dunes, we completely understand how frustrating that must have been for your group. Your feedback about the limited number of chipped bracelets is valuable, and we will share it with our local team to help improve future guest experiences. We wish you had been informed about this policy in advance as well. Thank you again for your patience and for choosing Vacasa. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again and provide an even better stay.
We enjoyed our experience at the Wild Dunes Resort. As a family of 5, we opted to rent a house on VRBO rather than stay at the hotels on property. Based on previous reviews, I knew this house was a bit outdated but I wasn't too bothered. We were there to enjoy the pool and beach, not sit inside. Positives: The location is great, steps away from the pool and beach, a short walk to the restaurants, pickleball courts, etc... There was plenty of room for us, comfortable beds, and everyone appreciated their own bathroom. Communication with property management company was very easy.Negatives: The place needs some TLC or a handyman/woman to fix a few things. The exterior lights by the main entrance were out so we had to use our phone flashlights to see the keypad at night. One of the toilets wasn't flushing properly, shower heads were leaking. There were dings in the walls, night table drawers that wouldn't close, curtains that were broken, etc.. A broken rusted chair was left on the deck and a shed downstairs had discarded items thrown about. Did these factors ruin our stay? No, of course not. But we made the property manager aware so that they are hopefully addressed for future renters. We would definitely return to Wild Dunes - Isle of Palms but would stay in a different house next time. *One thing to note. The key card used to access the pool wasn't needed, (or at least no one asked us for it). However, it doesn't allow you to get pool towels so be sure to bring them.
