About this property

Riverfront Haven on 2.5 acres

Escape to your private paradise on the North Fork River. Our cabin is at the end of a private road, safe from traffic and super quiet. A huge landscaped wrap around deck allows for endless seating for stargazing, sitting around the fire pit, playing ping pong, or watching your kids on the springless trampoline while you relax.

This listing for the main cabin, is for the larger of our two cabins. If you book using this listing, you do not have access to the guest house, which is a separate structure. However, I do not rent the guest house to other guests during your stay.

We are nearly done with a huge exterior hardscaping renovation, however, some of the features are not complete such as: the built in BBQ is not set up but we do have a high end BBQ that is on the deck, detached from the outdoor kitchen.

The main bedroom with a King bed is private. The "sunroom/bedroom 2" has a queen bed and is in a nook that is open to the main living area.

The outdoor shower is not complete and the outdoor bathtub is not plumbed yet. These are features to look forward to in the future!

Needs updating and TLC. We had no internet and no phone service for our stay. Lights need replaced Would help if switches were labeled. Need hair dryer. Washer and dryer were great. Kids enjoyed trampoline, Ping pong and the river. At 103 degrees outside the AC worked fantastic, thank you. Quiet location with good star gazing.

Thank you for the feedback. After your booking, I sent a series of messages, including curated ideas for you to enjoy with your grandsons. I never heard a word, thus, was never able to address your internet nor lighting issues. I have the most high speed internet the area offers, and never had a complaint in over 80 five star reviews. I'm sorry you did not give me a chance to troubleshoot, which I could have done remotely. As for the bulbs that had burned out, I could have easily replaced. I'm glad you enjoyed the beauty and surroundings.

We have never used VRBO for a vacation rental but with two dogs, it seemed like the way to go. Unfortunately many of the "pet friendly" listings I explored also contained an extensive list of rules/caveats making it an anxiety inducing situation where I was scared to leave a single dog hair behind.I communicated with Emily prior to booking and she made me feel completely at ease about bringing our two dogs along on this trip. She was responsive at every point and even went so far as to have her neighbor bring us a fan while we waited for the air conditioning to cool everything off upon our arrival. (Don't worry about the air conditioning as it was AMAZING!)The house was clean and offered up ample space for my family (2 adults, 2 teens, and 2 dogs) and everything we needed was available and properly working. We ended up meeting two of the neighbors and they were absolutely lovely as well. The property is right on the river and very quiet. The only (VERY minor) issue that we had was that the yard was a little overgrown which made cleaning up after the dogs a little more challenging. However Emily was also very honest and upfront about the updating and work that they were in the process of completing on the exterior of the house.Overall, I would highly recommend this rental to my friends and family and we are considering coming back during a different season.
