About this property

Fantastic 4-bedroom Lake~Ski House w/ gas fireplace. Pet friendly!

Our renovated home with gas fireplace faces Echo Lake and backs onto an acre of woods. Family friendly with a private dock for summer fun. Located 10 minutes from Okemo and 15 minutes from Killington for ski enthusiasts.

The house has 3 bedrooms on the second floor plus a bonus attic suite. Linens are provided for all bedrooms. The large bedroom has a bunkbed plus trundle and a queen with an attached bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has a full bed. There is another full bath on the second floor. The first floor is a full bath with just a shower. We provide towels, body wash, shampoo, and hair dryers.

The kitchen is fully stocked for those evenings you want to stay in and cook. Sit around the island while your family chef prepares your meal and enjoy the dining room with the breath taking view of the lake. In warm weather, there is a modest brick patio in our quaint, beautifully landscaped backyard with a small table and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee. There is a gas grill as well to enjoy grilled cooking.

The living room has a smart tv so you can stream your favorite shows. Sonos house speaker is available to you for music enjoyment. Mesh wifi routers have been installed to boost your internet connection.

Whether you are looking for a family vacation, relaxing getaway or a remote workspace, this all season house is a perfect place to enjoy Vermont anytime of the year. We are so excited to have you stay here and enjoy all of the area attractions.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please be respectful & clean up after your pet in the yard & in the house. There is a pet waste bin provided. Liners for the bin can be found in the closet by back door along w/ extra pet waste bags.
Dog waste bags from the bin need to be disposed of into a kitchen garbage bag first (located under the kitchen sink) before placing into the garbage can in the garage please!
Place used linens and towels on floor by washer for our cleaning service.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

We are from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but my husband grew up in Boston. He spent his summers at camp in Vermont and grew up loving it. This love was passed on to our family.

His friend from camp and school in Boston shares the same passion for Vermont, so it seemed fitting that we purchase a home for our families to enjoy.

We have enjoyed hosting as we get to hear from guests what they like about the area, new places to dine, and great suggestions to add for new guests.

Why they chose this property

This house, built in the early 1900's, is rich in history as is the area. We have come to love this part of Vermont due to vacationing here ourselves for many years and decided with friends to own and share a house with others like us!

Our house has its own private lake front dock right across the street on Echo Lake. We enjoy kayaking, canoeing and swimming. The areas boasts many hiking trails which we take advantage of every year.

Our house sits on a plowed road right off of route 100 for easy access to the mountains. Okemo mountain is 10 minutes away and Killington mountain is about 15 minutes away. There are places to cross country ski as well.

We enjoy walking our dogs and meeting new neighbors every time we come and visit.

What makes this property unique

Our property sits facing mostly the west. This is great for summer as guests can enjoy the water longer into the afternoon and see beautiful views.

The new open floor plan with numerous windows provides a beautiful view of Echo Lake. The view of the fall foliage is something to see!

The back of the house sits against the woods offering privacy and next to the house, we have a private driveway that can fit 4 midsize vehicles. During the winter, we have a plow service as well.
