This property has a lot of potential, but it’s past its prime and ready for a refresh. Think well worn family cabin that’s been hodgepodged together for years. We had a large group and we booked it because it had the most bedrooms & bathrooms we could find. The important areas were clean and kitchen was functional but couches and throw pillows were very worn. Beds were modest but comfortable enough. The listing says 2 main suites. While that’s technically true, one is pretty sad - a simple queen bed, tile floor with a plastic folding table and a rolling office chair. Yes, it had a bathroom off of it, but the shower knob was so corroded we couldn’t get it to turn all the way to hot. We could only get it to luke warm. It fell off once but we got it back on. The other main suite was nicer, but still dated and the carpet is stained. A sharp nail protruding from a stair cut a nasty gash in the heal of one in our party. The biggest issue we with the house though, was the smell. From the minute we walked in the door on day one: sewage. There was a leak in the sewer line underneath the house making it reek all weekend. Samantha the host was quick to get a plumber out and confirm the sewer leak. In the end, they comped 1 of our 3 night stay. Our family was busy all weekend with wedding obligations and really only spent one full day at the house. We enjoyed being together and enjoyed the outdoors by the pool. This house has its charms. It’s just old and old houses have issues.
