The Lodge of the Whispering Pines resort was everything we hoped and more: rustic, well-run, and gorgeous. The host, Denise, was a joy to talk with, and she even upgraded our cabin. The lake is big and quiet and fun to paddle. The traditional sauna was a dream.The service that handles VRBO reservations for the resort, though, made contacting the host very difficult. We never got access information from them. Arriving late, we were worried we wouldn't be able to get in. I tried to message the service, but I never got a response. Do yourself a favor: book this cabin!!--but do it by calling the Lodge of the Whispering Pines directly.
